Suggestion Ninja - My idea more then likely sucks but here it is

Thats exactly my point...backstabs are a bonus. Ninja should rely on skill damage for burst not melee for DPS.

I kind of wish Ninja was DPS, burst is why it gets wrecked by warriors. You do your eviscerate, kick, and (blitz if possible) combo and they are at 1/2 or 2/3 health. Then after that you try to melee them, but their armor and melee damage out class yours. So you can either play a really boring game of kite with shurikens until they die or you can kite until your combo CD is over, or you can try for the melee kill.

Burst damage is perfectly fine and adds variety to a game that would be stale without it.
Ninjas issues with burst is that the burst is high enough to put a serious dent in casters/squishies (and justifies it's massive cool down)
But not good enough to deal with warriors

Eviscerate + blitz + a few autos will do about half of a caster's health allowing you to finish up the job with autos

The same combo will only do about a third of a warriors health but then you are screwed for the next 30 seconds because your damage is far less than the average warrior forcing you to either kite with shurikans (boring, annoying, and extremely flint intensive strategy)
Kite and wait for cooldowns (again, stupid strategy)
Or stay in melee range and get slaughtered because they have significantly more armor and health than you.

So pick your poison. Kite for the next thirty seconds - and hope you don't get caught
Or stay in melee and die

You forgot the fact that after the burst berserker will hit harder then you dk can get some good empathy'a in and paladin can heal it all back, while goon does same left click :p
