Bug Nexus Portal

This incident has happened to me twice, i was about to take the portal to lower nexus to sell some gold in dhx upstairs, when i took it, it lead me to the upper nexus? is it normal that it does it?
or is it some kind of bug? i saw alot of portals going to some locations (like blackmarket) ,, well i managed to get out since there was a portal to spawn also
