Heya.
You probably don't know me.
But anyway, I've been thinking about getting a laptop for more portable computing, as opposed to the desktop I'm writing this on now.
And, well. I have entry level computer knowledge, I'd wager I don't know nearly as much about computers as some of you here.
So, I'd just like your thoughts and reccommedations on this topic.
Ideally, I'm primarily looking for a cheaper, functional laptop that can run high end music programs such as Ableton or Propellerhead's Reason. These are professional music editing production programs, and the primary reason I'd be looking for in a laptop is to be able to run this.
I would, for the most part, leave higher end games and gaming to my desktop.
The purpose of the laptop would be to be able to port around and have these programs at my fingertips whenever needed, as sort of an "audio sketchbook".
If that makes sense.

- Fast internet connection for installation and registration required!
- Intel or AMD processor with dual cores
- 4 GB RAM or more
- 3 GB free hard disk space (program may use up to 20 GB scratch disk space)
- Windows 7 or later
- Monitor with at least 1024×768 resolution
- Audio Interface with ASIO driver
- MIDI interface and a MIDI keyboard recommended
