New class suggestion

But all in all I love the idea of a melee class that can channel magic through its sword.

No goddamit. Spellsword is the name and that final :/ . Battlemage is heard almost everywhere on any rpg/mmo. Spellsword is a unique and rare name and if I'd wanted to make another simpler name don't you think I'd use a name of that similarity ?

Spellsword sounds like an item, I dont feel like it would fit as a class name.

Honestly, I've always wanted a class like this, and it wouldn't be named spellsword, it'd be Parivir from FF. Thought it would be sweet if each sword (wood,stone,iron,gold,diamond) had it's own ability bound to it. Just my ideas.

Personally I like the name, reminds me of Oblivion, and i definitely like the idea of the class. Maybe add a few more spells like shock touch or something, like the one in Oblivion

Na battlemage and swordmage/spellsword are two different things.
Battlemages are sword wielders that cast magic
Swordmage/spellswords channel their magic through their sword

You get the idea someway but battlemages are also mages that only cast destruction / ruthless spells somewhat like warlocks - bloodlust , fiery frenzy,... and this has nothing to do with spellsword.

Adding another class would mess up the number of classes we currently have - if we add a new class it would have to replace one that's already in (like how ninja and assassin merged and bard filled the empty spot)

If there's ever any sort of cross classing in the future, I think this would fit great into that category.

At this time, we're not interested in adding another class, though maybe in the future
