Class name: Spellsword
Specialization: warrior or caster or rogue (though I dont see a ressemblence)
Spells: Sword buff spells such as:
Name/ Attribute

Ablade/poison
Iblade/Ice
Fblade/fire
Tblade/thunder
Bblade/bleed
Hblade/holy (more damage against undead , deathknights and necromancers)
Sblade/stun
Pblade/power (1.5 more dmg)
Dblade/lifesteal (steals 2 hp from opponent )

P.s. This spells would have around 10-20% chance on hit so the class doesnt seem to strong and/or add new spells if available

Possibilities for third-tier classes? I think some kind of Magic Knight class is a must.

Stolen straight from D&D, My friend plays a spellsword in our 3.5 game. Its a great idea, but I just thought of a way to make it more rewarding. In the D&D spellsword you have to have some levels in Warrior and Caster. What if you had to master both in game to be a spellsword? Overall I like the idea.

How very FF3! (that's Japanese FF3, mind you.) I think with a few modifications it'd work as a tier 3 class... though I'd love to see some of these abilities on the tier-3 enchanter, perhaps able to cast it on their whole party, along with a small armor/weapon boost.

Areokii the spellsword is meant to give casters a chance to fight better solo while allowing them use of spells. Not to buff parties.

You misunderstand what I meant. I like the idea of the spell sword as a solo class, obviously. But I would also like to see these same abilities given to a tier 3 enchanter that would be able to cast it on others or the whole party. I was talking about two separate possible classes.

Also, it's "Aerokii".

OBJECTION !!!!
If I did that it WOULD be stolen from D&D but I actually didn't play D&D so I couldn't have stolen from it nor the way you expressed the class it doesnt seem it has same abilities as I so if you dont like it or want to make changes please dont comment this thread anymore

1. No. These abilities should be only for this class . It just doesnt feel right on other classes especially enchanter who's a caster. I can see why you think its a good idea (because he uses spells) but the name ''Spellsword'' means only sword spells so it should be unique in that way that only he can use it.

2. Tier 3? By doing these you are actually forcing people to pay real money for a class which is opposite from Donating. I think there should be made like a new class ranking which allows you to choose a new class after you master a single / or all specs in a class since there has to be a ''unique'' way to get a special way. This actually encourages players to work hard on a game, don't risk getting banned and stop doing stupid stuff in-game

I think he means 3rd Tier as in the future 3rd Spec. Although I know hardly anything about that stuff so don't take that for granted.

It's been around longer than most of us have been alive.
http://www.iourn.com/dnd/classes/prestigeclasses/spellsword.htm

It's not exactly the newest concept in the world (Final Fantasy 5 did it too), but it'd be new to herocraft, and it's still a good idea. As for the other points, I meant tier 3 specs, not tier 3 donation status, just for clarity, and if not specific "blade" based spells for a tier 3 enchanter, then perhaps just general weapon type enchantments that would be similar (enchant poison, enchant fire, enchant frost... just a pure buff sort of thing, maybe with less power).

As for spellsword in particular, since it's based around offensive magic I'd think it needs a little less armor- maybe no diamond, but at most full iron armor. Or if we want to be nice, since it's a tier 3 spec, one piece of diamond. Another thing I've noted for spells like soulfire is that that the rate of activation for such things improves with weapon quality, and I think that'd be important for spellsword too- as in, easier to channel magic into a gold sword than it would be one of stone.

Well I think he should be able to cast a spell on any kind of swords since I he summons the blades inner magic. As for armor ofc diamond is a no and if kain likes the idea I'm gonna give him the idea of how this class would function . Remember that I already have everything planned for this class xp. But I still dont get it what you ment by easier channel magic with different swords :/.

I think it would be a neat idea to combine classes. A spellsword would be a Warrior Caster. You'd forfit a second tier to combine two first tiers.

Oh, sorry, let me try explaining a little better... with an example! Now, let's say you're a paladin who can cast soulfire. When you cast soulfire on your iron sword, you have a 20% chance to light your opponent on fire. But when you use diamond, that chance goes up to 50%. And gold is even higher, let's say 60 or 70% (These are not the actual numbers, just an example.) So basically, the stronger the weapon, the higher chance that its effect will occur.

And yeah, I think it's fine for it to work with any sword (except maybe not Fblade with wood, haha.)

Imo the name of the class is kinda stupid. I think something along the lines of Swordmage would be better.
