Disclaimer: I am being honest here, and not trying to hurt feelings, but state what I have seen. I do not know what goes on behind the scenes, but only what I can see from being a normal player to Herocraft.

In the past few months, I feel like Mod activity has been lacking. Buddah, Xanipher, and Gabizou were the 3 mods I actually would see on whenever I would do /who. It was usually one of them that answered my PE's and would message me back if I /tell'd them something. Now Gabizou is leaving HC, and I wish him the best, but that puts us in a sticky situation. I feel like we need some new faces to mods, and ones that will be proactive. Our mod force should be strong to keep as much weight off the Admins/ Founders as possible. I want to see a few more people to become mods that are very active on the server, because more often than nought, I /who, and see not one admin or mod on for several hours. I feel like with this, it is cause for people to break rules, since no one is on to catch them. Even seeing a mod online, gets people a little more nervous to try anything, because you never know when they are watching you. I thank the Mods that have spent a large time keeping this server happy and rule-breaker free, but I feel like it's time for a change. We just need more, and we aren't seeing the activity we should from them. We are putting a lot of pressure on the few that are being proactive, but it's dwindling. In my opinion, putting a few more mods on can only help the server, and take away some of the pressure. We might even catch a few more exploiters/ hackers in the process.

Even though I'm new? And I don't know what you guys have been used to have in the past before I came to the HC community? But to be honest I don't see anyone active from the mods at all :( I vote for what @Kriskills have said - We seriously need more active mods to have a better community out of hackers/exploiters etc.

Yes as of the past few weeks I have noticed staff lacking in general. The past week especially. The only staff entity i have really noticed online are proctors and guides and even the guides are dwindling it seems. I heard from @Apherdite that there is 1 open moderator position but with herocraft in its current state I believe more than one mod will need to be promoted. Another thing I have noticed is admin inactivity. There have been few admins on as of late and I think there needs to be 1 more player promoted to admin. As Kris said with this lack of admins/mods on people are going to be more inclined to break rules. For example, xrayers mainly are caught by invisible admins teleporting to them and watching them. With no admins on there is nothing stopping them from going all out. In short more players need to be promoted to staff.

oh and @Kainzo @Seratt . I think they'll find this thread interesting.

More mods is a really good idea. It is absolutely true that just the mere presence of a moderator or admin online discourages people from bending the rules

As long as it's not taboo I'd be happy to apply and will do so when I get home. As a proctor I have done very little due to the lack of apps and the large number of proctors. My intention was and is to help out and give back which isn't happening at the moment in my current role.
