Monk Suggestions With 2 NEW skills

I have taken a great interest in the Monk Class lately and i found it to be lacking A few things that can really make it alot more enjoyable.

First off two simple ones:

lvl 1 Bandage - Heals target, 10%MP 1sec cooldown (Consumes paper)
Bandage is a skill you learned in the Healer Path therefore I believe it should be MASTERED
and have the same specifications as all of the Healer Specialty Classes.

lvl 20 Prayer - Heals target for 15hp, 30%MP 3 sec cooldown
(this way not as good as druid or cleric but still better than a bandage.)

and that would be it for the Healing Aspect of the monk. Group Heal would be OP..

also:
Move Safefall to unlock at lvl15

Possibly remove Sneak( since i honestly cannot picture a monk sneaking around like a ninja or some shady character...)

Remove Star Completely( I know its not in game at the moment, but it is also a skill that a Monk wouldn't really use, more of a ninja thing again) Done

Now We all know monks are Known to be Peaceful/Neutral at times
and also somewhat deadly if forced to fight to the death, I wanted to stay with that basic theme
so i came up with two NEW skills to really Bring that out:

(silence skill)
lvl30 Mana Seal - Stops Target from Using Mana Based attacks/spells for a given amount of time.(Consumes 1 paper & 1 Ink Sac) 20%MP 10 sec Cooldown.

Duration: 5 secs

this skill will work well with the Monk Class Since its more of a Peaceful Method to stopping someone, however in a party this skill will prove to be very useful.

(buff skill)
lvl 40 Gate of Pain - Upon Casting this skill you take Damage for 30% of your max hp, It will Unlock a power within that will Increase Fist damage from 6 to 12 and Reduce Damage Taken (similar to Stoneskin on dragoons) for a Given amount of time. 50%MP and 10 sec Cooldown.(cannot be used if you have below 30% hp)

Duration: 10 secs

This Skill is more of a Boost of power and defence for Sacrificing some Health and lots of mana. In certain situations this can prove to be quite deadly, however spamming this skill for no Reason would be very impractical and a waste of health.

Thats all i got, as for the new skills I would leave the final say on the Duration of the New Skills to the Admins.

Also i posted this in Furybone's Class And Development Thread.
I just felt it got very little recognition.

I actually love this, i was gona suggest a skill called kick that was pre-binded to rightclick with nothing in your hand, that would allow a few extra damage every so secs but this is way better.

Pray seems like something a monk would do.
GroupH is OP for a monk imo.
Monks are similar to ninjas in the aspect of sneaking, so i would keep that skill.
We dont need star, we are pure hand (and possibly feet) melee fighters.
Mana seal seems like something a monk or Buddhist would do, so thats a yes, besides, we need more silence type skills anyways
And for Gate of the Pain, i was thinking it should be some sort of toggeable skill that drains health and mana overtime, but gives you the buff.

I like what you had in mind, but a kick would be alittle wierd to implement..but not a bad idea.

Yes pray is kinda of what monks do on a daily basis lol (it just makes sense)

However I realize the monk is not a full on healing class, but I don't understand why group heal was added instead of pray...I would think at least a Self-heal only Pray would work too.

Monks aren't really that sneaky, but to be honest Sneak skill could stay or go and i wouldn't mind it...

I also Agree that we need more Silence type skills... blade grasp is a decent one for melee attacks.

Now your idea For Gate of Pain:

I like it, Simply because if it were that way it would really put to use of all the HP monks have since they lack armor to tank a bit more and also have a way longer effect as a buff. It will need some tweaking because you'll take damage from the skill as well as other players , that would make you extra squishy when taking damage.

It would have to be a MP cost to cast, but after that a constant rate of damage but very little as if you where being drained of your HP with no knock back.

Your Defence + Damage has to be increased significantly so it will be worth using the skill.

Still the basic idea of this skill is to not be OP, more like taking a sacrifice of health for the Benefit of Burst Damage and Some Defence, then if you survive you can self-heal.

Remove the sneak skill?! What are you smoking? Monks are sneaky and not as clumsy as the warriors with all their armor and weapons.

I think everything would be an awesome idea besides getting rid of sneak. Monk's are pure and focused which is why they would be able to be hidden and swift. @jwplayer, making Gate of Pain a toggle-able skill would be pretty cool too. These are all great idea's. +1

okay, i wouldnt call it sneaky, it just sounds....bad!

they are more pure of heart, and thats more of my point, not that they couldn't be at all...

besides I would call them "Stealthy"
"Sneaky" sounds like they are going to rob your car stereo...
