Mods/admins taking money for Punishment?

Is this a new rule? Last time I read the rules it doesn't say anything about there being so called "fines" for breaking the rules like spamming. It has come to my attention that a friend of mine was fined 3k coins..for spamming..in shout chat..in our town..AREYOUSEEINGTHEPICTUREHERE?
I call bullshit. Major. Bullshit.

Getting pretty old getting all my PE's thrown out, or getting talked shit to during them answering one of our pe's because of their personal problems, but oh hey if it's about Brancher or Codyneace it gets looked at right away and done something about it.

Reread through the TOS and our rules, we can do anything we feel is necessary at that moment. Would your friend rather a 3 day suspension? I thought he got an easy break. The fine was a decision by a founder btw, not a mod/admin.

He was fined for harassing another player, not for spamming in chat. Tell your friend to be honest so you don't make a fool of yourself again with some asinine post.

If you feel you are being harassed by any staff member, gather your evidence and bring it up with me, privately.

I'll also add that you should be more careful not to make ridiculous accusations unless you've got evidence to back up your case. Careful who you stand up for.........

I have fined players before and I will fine them again, break TOS / rules and you are at my mercy.

It's just unfortunate that you fined an entire town for one persons actions. If he wasn't a banker he would have been broke like the rest of us donating to the town. I'm sure a mute would have been enough though I do not know the exact extend of his actions or those around to witness. It's fine though, the punishment sounded fitting for someone who wasn't a banker. It only took me like 30 hours of mining to get 3000c.

What exactly is my ridiculous accusation? Considering I was in the same location as the person who was fined, I know for 100% fact there was nothing said to harass anyone. Oh, and @Kainzo. A 3k fine? From the person in our town who we allow to keep our money so he can keep his gold shop up because of people selling it all the time. What's ridiculous now? I mean. 3k is only 300 gold ingots, that's so easy to obtain!

But hey! Nothing I say is going to affect the situation, so why am I wasting my time?

Your inability to effect change is a direct result of your inability to sound reasonable while doing so. You have an issue with something that happened in the game, fine, that happens all the time. Another thing that happens all the time: Kainzo paying no attention to asshattery on the forums.

Unless you drop the shitty attitude and start fresh, you will thrash impotently at the admins, this thread will be locked, your issue will be ignored and no one will be surprised.

We have logs and screenshots of your greatest pal verbally harassing said player. I warned you before, yet you're still making accusations with only one side of the story.

The fact that you guys trusted someone of such low moral standing is not our problem. If he had the coin in his possession, then it is his to lose. Take it up with him. Tell him next time to lay low, don't be an idiot and go around breaking rules.

As another warning, Scott, you need to make sure you read the rules and TOS thoroughly yourself. Do not come onto these forums again pointing fingers and telling us what we did wrong and how we should have done them differently. If you don't like how we run things, go find another server. I have little patience for accusations towards our staff, and I will deal with you as I see fit if I feel you are being belligerent.
