Mod Suggestion: Macro/Keybind

This one. I would probably suggest that people read it's thread rather than try and understand it through what I say.

I would very much like to use this mod on Herocraft, but I wanted to get confirmation that it's uses don't fall under "unfair advantage". It uses a GUI for binding text commands, which is basically ImpChat but better. Beyond that, it supports loops and key-state macros, which is where most of my uncertainty comes from.

As Daz said, it is sort of like improved chat, used for binding keys, but it has improved binding.

-GUI interface to see what keys already have something bound, and what is bound to them

-Much easier than imp chat obviously since you have a GUI and you can actually tell what is on your keys

-You can use the number pad with this, which you could not with imp chat. You can also use home, end, page down, and so on. You can even bind middle mouse click and the F1-12 keys.

- It has its own version of notepad inside MC to make notes and write up complex recruiting macros without going out of MC, come on now.

So yea, there is the key features that I like about it. Although I highly doubt I would ever use any other part of it besides the number pad bindings, which are working awesome so far on the CC planning server. I no longer hit letters by accident and start spamming stuff because everything is only bound to my number pad. You can move while using bound keys as well, which you cannot do in imp chat because it tries to type both keys then and messes up.

Also I see no unfair advantage anywhere that is any more than the approved Rei's minimap or imp chat. I can still bind things but better, and can move with them bound. It's all about actually getting the mods, really. If someone does not have reis they are at a disadvantage because they cannot create way points, death points, know what direction they are going easily, or see their coordinates without bringing up the F3 menu which covers a large portion of the screen sometimes. Because I can bind anything this would make Herocraft even more like an MMORPG and give more immersion of me into the world of HC.

So really, someone come and officially approve this mod already D=.

I noticed ya =D. He suggested it to you but it's not on the approved mods list, so I don't think that counts really.

Anyway until someone says it is illegal though I plan on using it. I see no unfair advantage to gain, it is simply an improved version of imp chat. I just want to bind skills to my number pad instead of my letters, lol D=

Yea, as Daz said I have it working with a lot as well. Improved chat, this mod, Rei's, optifine, matmos, and modloader all have conflicting class files, yes, but if you add them to your jar in the correct order then the class files for some of the mods will substitute for the others. It's all about luck, spending about 10 minutes trying some combinations if you got it wrong the first time, or know the correct load order for most of them from previous experience and just guessing to put this one in last.

This is not an approved mod. having it installed can result in a ban. Imp chat alread does this keybinding, and has been approved by the server. Till they do, do not install it or use it on herocraft. It can result in your removal.

Its a great mod, i agree, however, I have also seen mods be abused for nefarious purposes. This is basically simplified scripting program for those that need a gui. for example, I have no issues double tapping my forward key, but with this I can bind it to one key and press it, instead of how game intended it.


Imp chat works for what is needed for the time being. If Neo approves this, all good and well. Till then, dont use it on HeroCraft.

Improved chat allows you to bind a macro to almost every key on the keyboard. However, sometimes it isn't quite obvious what they keycode is. Here is a compiled list off some lesser known keycodes:

numpad1: does the number pad number 1-9 respectively (lowercase n on numpad otherwise it doesn't work.)

Are you guys retarded? I have told you that Neo himself (neo_exdeath, not neotetro) recommended this mod to me! He said I should use it! Stop making a fuss and use the bloody mod if you want to!
