I think Tnt is a good addition but the little damage and no block damage gives it no use. I dont think TNT should be used for PVP and raiding it should be mining tnt. So maybe allow it to have block damage at -40 and below. As for the double drops it should at least 15% for a max miner. I have noticed kainzo is trying to improve miner as Excavate has come down from 55 to 50 and tnt has been added. I think we should just sit and wait a little while.

How does it have no use in PVP and raiding? It opens up infinite possibilities to get into regions that people like to hide in. All in all, for the PvP community of herocraft, this is the best decision ever.

@judgedread540 I don't believe you quite understand what's being discussed. TnT is planned to be introduced with the ability to break regioned blocks (with some sort of auto-repair afterwards).

TNT is in the game for miners as a level 55 skill this is what i was talking about. TNT as it is now doesnt destroy blocks or do much damage so therefore it has no use currently. If you want proof do /hero skills miner 2. Currently TNT doesnt blow holes in region's, does barely any damage and is useless until they do something with it.

@Aetosion
did you ever stop to think that regions being destroyed by it hasn't went live yet..?

While tnt damage should be buffed (I mean come on, when I stand on top of high explosives when they blow up and my face is still in-tact, something doesn't seem right here), the currently planned implementation of TnT is just fine.

They can blow holes in regions momentarily, this makes raiding finally possible. No more, waiting outside till all their allies get there. And no more sitting in front of a town with both sides yelling insults at each other.
So basically theres no such thing as safety anymore is what your saying? Theres no point to put blocks over chests, and no point in even building walls. Why not just remove regions.

This. I've paid 22.5K for my town's safety, why should a skill negate that and all the hard work people put into their towns? Miner isn't a combat class so their skills shouldn't be used in PvP. TnT however will be a very useful skill while clearing out underground just like a typical Miner would do.

I'm making a thread all about this. Please contribute to it.

So alchemist's potions shouldn't be used in combat? Along with the armor/tools/weapons that enchanters enchant? This wouldn't be a big deal if people would stop makeing giant glass boxes for towns.

The main issue is that miners, with the skill ''TNT'' COULD get inside town regions, personal regions and spawn plots. This is something MAJOR - as it bypasses secured doors, covered chests and defences - time and effort people put into their towns. Things like traps require masons and engineers to make, yet miners can just go right through that.

Do alchemist potions do that? Do potions get you into sealed underground vaults? Do efficiency III pickaxes get you into a dirt-covered chest? No. Both don't.

Sure; professions can be used to ASSIST combat classes, but not functioning as a combat class themselves (i'm fine with TNT doing entity damage, but block damage? That's a little extreme, even if the blocks do regenerate after 30 seconds).

I understand to some people that Tnt blowing up regions is a big deal. But I imagine that it will have a short time span before the blox regenerate, and probably a long cool down for placing it again.

People will get agrivated when they get Tnt'd, didn't people do the same when potions became used more? And how is this going to make miners a combat class in anyway? Do you really expect them to sit there placing Tnt during combat?

Finally, this is a hardcore server. If you don't like it get out.

First; sure, i'd like to see a cooldown and a shorter regeneration time.

Second; miners would be able to get into towns, much like how Wizards and Dragoons specialise in getting into towns.

Third; Zeal was hardcore. We didn't have TNT. TNT shouldn't be implimented, this server is hardcore enough.
