It would be neat If once you master a sub-class you can take on a Apprentice, and help them train.

The Apprentice would get a Exp bonus, which would work like the Party system, where the Master would have to be near the Apprentice, for the Exp bonus(Apprentices can only get bonus exp If they kill or mine themselves and only when there Master is around.).

This could help improve relationships and give Masters something to do, besides just mastering another Class and give a more RPG feel to the game.

Once the Apprentice reaches level 50 they will no longer get bonus exp from there Master. Also Taking on a Apprentice, and teaching them the basic's of the server, and some tricks and tips would want them to stay and Improve there relationship with a Senior member, and also Improve the bond with players.

Here are some constructive Ideas from Domitius.

I can see multiple routes to pull this off. One being just have a Spec'd Master take you on as previously stated or have a lead "Master" that grants the ability for other masters to take on apprentices. The second would be more of a server Guide position without any powers but the ability to grant extra exp boosts to their apprentice.

A problem I can see happening though is taking on your apprentice and then they go inactive really quickly making a high turnover of apprentices. To curb this from being a problem possibly have the chance for a single Master to take on multiple apprentices(If not unlimited) so he can help out lots of newbies and help other players level up. If the unlimited or a high number system is chosen a simple coin deposit when you take on an apprentice could be deducted to stop abuse and if possible once the apprentice masters the initial deposit is refunded(Maybe with a bit extra) could be incentive to be a successful Master.

Possibly you could bind the two with "Unofficial Masters" and "Official Master" with the first being just any Master while the later being a select few within the community. The Official one would pay lower coin and the ability to take on more apprentices(Maybe give more exp) While the Unofficial has to be the standard fee with only one or two apprentices.

*Vote Yes if this would be a good Idea and Vote no if you don't think it would be a good idea.

Well, I like it in that it encourages people to work together and in parties, which I believe is one of the main goals of heroes. On the other hand, it doesn't seem to offer much to the Master. I'll still give it a yes though.

It would have to be one per master, else everyone would have a master and it wouldn't be much of group thing. Also, I can smell people "selling" apprenticeship.

whats wrong with selling it? If you have friends to do it for free thats great! or good guild mates but i think it would add an interesting aspect to heros

It would make for a good reason to have friends, and a good way for masters to make money, if need be. And a group of two is still a group, haha.

There would need to be more of a benefit than an xp bonus.
Maybe if this idea was elaborated on a bit more.

Otherwise you're just asking for them to code a feature that makes no difference (other than a title) from being in a party... and theres nothing stopping you from making an offer to someone to power level you.

Asking them to increase xp bonuses on parties would have the same if not better effect in promoting social interactions and teamwork.

The only way this would be worth while is if you were able to gain a skill that was outside of your class by becoming an apprentice, or if both players were to get some sort of buff while in a party with each other that would be otherwise unobtainable.

Also, bumping your own thread twice in a row is kinda lame. ^_^

TLDR:
- Improve and elaborate on your idea, so its more worth while to implement.
- Same as asking for party exp bonus increase.

Who's trolling? I posted a clear and concise reasoning for why your idea is impractical.

Report away, your reason for doing so is unfounded. My apologies again if you fail to understand the ideas I'm presenting to you.

Perhaps I'll repost my all of my responses in lamens terms so you can better understand.

TLDR:
- Improve and elaborate on your idea, so its more worth while to implement.
- Same as asking for party exp bonus increase.

I apologized but you kept at it, and then questioned my intellect.

And also, not everything MUST be a benefit. Taking on a Apprentice, and teaching them the basic's of the server, and some tricks and tips would want them to stay and Improve there relationship with a Senior member, and also Improve the bond with players. I stated that the concept is similar to the Party system, but If I wanted a party Exp bonus increase where it could imbalance the game since you can just go afk and get more exp then you normally would for a large number of people then I would of suggested that.

While when you Master your sub spec, you could offer a boost of exp to a new player where they can work towards there and your goals and they might get a little fame along the way also and the process repeats. And possibility the Master could request certain tests and items to accept a apprentice. Just Keep a open mind about this, and don't be disrespectful, and I'll respect you.

Sorry that my logic and reasoning is too advanced for you to comprehend for you to stay on topic.

Again, none of this requires coding a new feature.
Nothing is stopping anyone from pairing up and roaming and leveling each other using the current party system.

I am always open minded. Hence I see the the systems currently in place are able to do everything you ask.

Anyone can ask anyone to help them level, find items or trade for services.

Also in regards to abusing features, nothing is stopping from friends letting an apprentice go afk while the Master power levels them.

I'm just realistically saying this isn't worth their time to implement since it would be time consuming and doesn't really bring any new possibilities to the game other than the titles themselves.

On the other hand, if you were to add a feature like Master/Apprentice skills and effects that were limited to the duo, and/or other synergies, it would take more work to do, but would add an entirely new dynamic to the game.

And as you stated yourself and then argued with yourself you said its all there but its Time consuming? ._.

Newer players will have the chance to level twice as fast for a certain price, depending on the Master, and it would give a better RPG feel to the game, where possibly in the future there might be Skills that Casters (Just using casters as a example) could learn earlier spells, at a certain cost.

If I don't get any Ice cream guys I swear to Kainzo I'm going to bolt you all.

Also on this! This sounds like an amazing system that could compel players to stick around.

I fully support something like this for what I'm worth and I believe it could bring a more tight knit community that can easily expand.

On another note, If you read this Kainzo, will the Lottery ever come back? )=
(Maybe have an exp lotto where you pay with exp instead of coins)

Domi I love you in a completely platonic way >_>

but I like your ideas in particular, having multiple students. There's a plethora of budding Paladins out there that I'd love to take under my wing, and giving them an exp boost by having them work with me may actually allow me to start teaching these idiots to -act- like paladins instead of just use paladin abilities.

Yeah, I agree. It would be neat If people actually acted like the class they were. =/
