I hope i'm posting this in the right place.....

Basically my game is uplayable due to connection problems.

My internet connection is very fast

my pc is quite powerful as well, however I when I hit a monster - it only registers after 2 seconds or so.

And getting into minecart has 75% chance of failure, because I cannot see if I pushed it until 2 seconds later.

My question would be - if that's common... Because the problem seems to be on the side of the server.

I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that I don't have reserved spot to log in as I am not a donator yet.

If I had guarantee that the lag would be gone I wouldn't mind donating, but as it is I cannot play and will probably be leaving...

A shame because I really enjoyed your server.

P.s. i'm located in London, uk

Do a ping test to Dallas, TX (pingtest.net)

We're colocating soon to be on a massive internet backbone so ping times should decrease for international users. However, right now we're home grown in Texas so that may be why you're seeing higher latency. Unfortunately the internet can only easily extend so far.

I live in in Australia and I don't usually have latency issues. Well, 200ms maybe. In an action game that's horrible. In something like Minecraft it's almost unnoticeable.

Down in New Zealand and I see that sort of 'monster-lag' occasionally. It only happens now and then for me though, not constantly.
I blame my ISP, but really have no idea what the cause is :)

I do feel for you guys not living on the main land.... however, I hope that improves :)

The US? Hah. The only thing lag makes difficult is PvP, which I don't see the appeal in anyway.

Player 1: pixelwhackx100.
Player 2 is frozen with lag.
Player 1 dies from Player 2 whacking him while lagging.

uhh i have this problem too, i am based in scotland, but it is incredibly much more worse for me :(

i dont know where to see my ping, but i get a steady 45-ish fps, and i cannot punch anything! even out in the wilderness, i can destroy a block, but the drop wont spawn, and the block will respawn after a second or two. i normally have little to no lag playing multiplayer on MC. will this be fixed by the colocation, or what? :(

We'll be up on our new colocated box - if it doesn't fix it or make it better - you may be out of luck due to location :(

I'm on an island in the Atlantic Ocean just off of Eastern Canada, and my ping is <100ms on average. Just sayin'.
