Killing From Inside The Zeal, No PvP, Region

He was camping the no pvp zone, and killing people from within for about 5 minutes before I got there and frapsed it. As soon as I told him that I recorded him doing it, he started acting like he didn't know he was in the zeal region, when you can obviously see him staying right at the boundary.

I believe his ign is J_Spiteri.

Well, Now that we have confirmed that this is indeed illegal, I have another instance of this happening.

This one is of Xyster shooting arrows at me from inside the D101 nopvp zone.

I think that this is really an ongoing problem that I have seen numerous times. A simple fix would be to crack down on it more heavily

(Ignore the random TS3 blabbing :p)

The Zeal border is 3.2km around. With a hundred people patrolling it you could still slip in and out unnoticed. Camping the border is only a little less ridiculous than managing to get killed by someone camping it.

It is legal. It is allowed. It sucks. I agree. Like Doreagarde said, you can easily get out of the Spawn non the less.

Heh, i remember one time, i was following a beastmaster into zeal. someone was camping and tried to kill us. in one keyboard click, he summoned 5 wolves and beat the crap out of the camper, we split the loot.

I think the part of that post to focus on is: killing people from within
Hanging around the border of a no-pvp zone is ok but standing inside it and attacking when your opponent can't attack back...I don't think so.

It could be exploiting, I guess. As this is using something to an unfair advantage. But then again, i'll say what a great Scotish Woman once said = PvP does not have to be fair! :D

Actually, standing in a NO PvP Zone attacking people in a PvP Zone is illegal.

Funny, Jwplayer posted a thread just like this and all that we got was something like:

This is the point I was trying to get across. It is not the fact that he camps the pvp zone, It is the fact that he attacks and kills me (I let him) from inside the saftey of the no pvp zone.

Per the Offical Rules... These are ALL cut and pasted directly from the RULES...

http://www.herocraftonline.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Rules
  • Intentionally abusing glitches or game mechanics to avoid PvP (Logging out for example)
  • Abusing flaws in the game code, environment or Minecraft in-general to gain an unfair advantage is considered exploiting.
  • Attacking players in a No-PvP zone from the border of a PvP area is both griefing and bug exploitation

so yes they are in violation its a very specific rule,

As well as
"While you are inside Zeal you may not attack players, take items/blocks, destroy structures or steal."

Which, reminds me of something:
There are some chests in Zeal (inside the green dragon) that some players appear to be using to store items (e.g. swords and armor) giving them an advantage when they respawn in zeal. Can those be locked down? and/or can we steal the items from those chests?

Yet my petition concerning a player doing just this was closed quite quickly without response. T-T

I understand where you are coming from, however action was most certainly taken against the perpetrator (that's what the staff do) we just aren't told (for good reasons) what that action was.

You can steal items from these chests.
