I saw an interesting post on reddit which I will link to.
It uses the Minecraft player score board to equip a player with a title under their name. I figured this would tie well with the planned karma system.
Example: each player starts with a score of 1,500. Doing good deeds or quests would increase your score, to a max of 3,000, and killing players or failing to pay rent would reduce your score, to a minimum of 0 (assuming the score cannot be below 0).
Periodically on the score spectrum there would be a title given to the player that is displayed under their name. This will be a great way to easily identify friendly and non friendly players.
This is not even in the game yet, but it might be something to look into.
