Just a quick question, I was killed the other day and when I returned to my chest it was covered in sand that the person who killed me protected from destruction so I couldn't open the chest.

I'm just wondering if this is okay? If it is then I don't really mind that it happened as its part of the rules, but if its not allowed then I feel slightly cheated.

If anyone could answer this that be great.

This is legal. A lot of pvpers do this to prevent people from getting their deathchests.

Players can camp deathchests. It is only griefing if they do not remove the blocks from around the chest when they leave.

Anyone that would do this is an asshat. Camping a death chest is dbag enough. Placing protected blocks around it to avoid the need to camp and circumvent the time is asshattery plain and simple. I can hardly believe that this is legal. In fact I remember it being declared illegal in a previous thread of the same topic. If the rules have somehow changed since then and it is by some chance legal it doesn't make it any less dbag.
Death chest are designed to make the asshats who can find nothing better to do with their time than to go around murdering and plundering work harder for their spoils. They were implementedbto frustrate thieves as a replacement for RL systems of consequences in a game where none exist. Circumventing that punishment should not be legal and I am fairly sure it is not. If I am mistaken then so be it.

Let's be honest, no one is camping death chest because they think there is loot. The likely hood that the loot is worth waiting for is next to nil. The people who camp death chest are doing so be cause they expect nubs and noobs to come running back for unarmed trying to get back their meager possessions. They want easy kills and slayer titles along with the pleasure they derive from harassing and annoying people.
So yes the people who are doing this are dbags, despite your attempts at misdirection and misrepresentation.

Our PvPers take it too far as is, its one thing to come, attack, and leave with the loot, but no, they come, they stay, and god forbid you try to fight them, becuase they will hide in the graveyard the moment your whole kingdom shows up. Or maybe the attackers should use some common sense. When you kill someone in like 2 -3 hits and they come back because they are newb enough to think either a. they have a fighting chance or b. the killer left because they had better things to do than kill newbs, your common sense should tell you oh dumb newb I should probably leave them alone.
But they wont do that because they are targeting newbs specifically for the easy kills.
