Just a bunch of random ideas for some Runeblade skills put together
RuneDeflect
Effect: Within the next 3 seconds, you will be able to block/deflect (avoid damage/effect) a single attack/spell. Upon deflecting an attack or spell, you will automatically apply your next rune in queue onto the target that attacked you. (If there is no rune in queue, you will just deal 1 damage back)
Purpose: This skill would be most useful against ranged attackers/casters, for if they try to fire something at you, you can counter the attack and damage/affect them from afar with your next rune in queue. This skill would also be able to be used against melee attacks as well, but just not as effective.
RuneCharge (Not so sure if this skill name fits the description)
Effect: Imbues your sword AGAIN with the last rune (voidrune, firerune, icerune, etc) you used, ignoring that rune's cooldowns, and halfing the mana cost
Purpose: So in the case that most of your rune attacks are on cooldown, and you need to deal extra damage fast, this may be a good skill to have. So lets say that all your rune skills are on cooldown except for fire rune. You are about to clash with the enemy again, so you use firerune. One second after using firerune, you can then use Runecharge, which will imbue another firerune onto your sword, ignoring the cooldown and halfing the mana cost.
RuneSeal
Effect: You prevent the target/player from using his/her most recent skill used for 4 seconds times the number of runes you have queued, AND the number of runes you have applied onto the target within the last 5 seconds.
Purpose: For this skill, you would have to have very good timing to utilize it to it's fullest. For example, to use it at best when engaging an enemy, you would have to first apply 3 runes onto the enemy (assuming that you already had them imbued before engaging), then right after, you would quickly imbue 3 more runes, backing off a bit, and if the enemy used a useful skill within that time, you can then use RuneSeal to lock down that skill for 24 seconds (in addition to the cooldown of the sealed skill). 24 seconds, since 3 runes applied, and 3 runes in queue, and 4 seconds for each rune.
