What if we had a certain event every month. It will consist on every single town preparing, building up its defenses, forging alliances, and gaining power.
When this even occurs, the townships will all enter a "griefable" time (6 hours or such), when people will be able to access a township by breaking blocks, basically, a free for all. When blocks are broken, they don't drop, and chests cannot be accessed in that time. The town hall will basically become a CTF capture point.
The town with the most members at the township at the end of the event wins control of the town (in event). After this, all the grief is rollbacked, and current positions are saved.
Life comes back to normal, towns are returned, etc. (When it ends, all of the server's players are teleported back to spawn, as to limit getting into unaccesible areas) When another month passes by, the event is held again, with towns regaining their positions.
The goal is: Conquer a set portion of the map, this will merit the winner town's members (the ones who raided) a title, whenever the event ocurrs again, the other town's members will fight them off their title (once they lose all towns they need, they lose the title).
This would add a very strategic form of gameplay to Herocraft, while giving players the chance to not be in it. This would add to many players' interest on the server, which will make this a new form of experiencing Herocraft.
