As days go by and Map Dragon begins to Make it's debut, The Hero Classes will be a first hit on the first day!

As my own initiative, we would like to hear future ideas, feedback, comments or anything about your class you will choose! Talk about the new introduced skills and how they may change the way of PvP or economy. You can also discuss if classes have become better or even OP - everyone's open for their opinion on this thread, so let's hear it from the community! ^_^

Well, I guess I will start this off and give my opinion on my current class choice.

I enjoy using the bow in pvp, but fight monsters with swords so as not to waste arrows. The obvious path to take was BM which has been removed and mixed with ranger. Ranger used to be quite OP due to the combination of "root>fire arrow>normal arrow>dead" but with the removal of root and fire arrow and the addition of a wolf, I think it will be a good fighting class but still possible to defeat. They have ice arrow to slow the enemy after they get close to hit them with something so the wolf attacks and while they concentrate on the wolf you gain some distance and then shoot them some more. Not sure on the ice arrow CD, but if they try to run at that point you may still be able to hit them again and get close.

So with the changes to BM and ranger the class is no longer OP, but still quite the formidable foe when played correctly. However with the introduction of secondary professions a whole new level of playing is opened up, depending on the combination.

I, for example, will be going farmer to complement my choice of ranger. As a farmer I will be able to breed all of the cows that I need for armor. I only got to wear armor on the Zeal map a few times on rare occasions due to the extreme rarity of cows and the price of leather, but once I have a large stock of cows I can slowly kill them off and wear armor all the time, further boosting the fighting powers of the new and improved ranger.

So there is my opinions and a small review on the ranger/farmer combination and its usefulness and lack of being too OP. Whose up next? =P

Warriors:
Inversion is going to make Samurai a very powerful class, and the anti-caster of the warriors.
Dragoon is pretty much the same.
DKs and Paladins are getting endurance so they should become very powerful to those who play them right. I think that the longer they survive the better they get; endurance, high hp, etc. gives them a long time to live during a fight which allows their mana to regen so they can deal damage with skills. So I think 1v1 they will become good.

Rogue:
Thief and ninja are very similar, but smoke (old) and pickpocket are cool and unique.
Ranger is best explained above.
Bard is just awesome. I wouldn't want to be one, but having one in your party makes everything soo easy.

Caster:
Geo- going to be quite a good mob/party killer with chain lightning.
Wizard-same
Necro- lame as always. Might make an appearance though for their ability to transport people to the Nether.
Beguiler- not very interesting for now.

Healer:
Cleric/druid are very similar.
Bloodmage has potential. Smite, Soul leach, drainsoul and chant are all good.
Disciple- Got a major nerf. But it will still win a 1v1 every time because of force push/pull against a melee class. (Only if force pull/push haven't been changed).

Decided to review everything and make some notes. I was going to go rogue, but disciple and bloodmage have a lot of potential.

I plan on heading to Sami/Farmer.. What exactly is Inversion? I would play on the test server, but I can't seem to go anywhere or do anything without my food running out and me dying. I'll just wait for the regular release. But I'm still curious, what skills do Sami's have this time around and what do they do? D:

So it isn't overall? As in if the enemy has 40 MP left, would you deal 40 or 60 damage? Or is it just the last used skill, so if a Ninja used smoke and you hit him with Inversion, it would be 100 damage?

If the Ninja used Smoke and hid long enough to regen 15 mana, you would do 85 damage. 100-100+15=85

Holy cow, this might could use some tweaking. Even if it only did half of the depleted damage that's still a potential 50 damage, and about the only class it would be useless against is the basic Warrior.

EDIT: This is what I get for posting past my bedtime, haha. 100-15=85. You know what I meant though, am I right?

I didnt know that 100-100+15 was 85? :p

Anyway, I'll get what Kain said about Inversion during the meeting in just a sec...

EDIT: It was after meeting was officially over, so not in the logs.

Inversion:

Target takes 1 point of damage for every point of mana they are missing. So, if your target's mana level is 80/100, they take 20 damage. If they have 0 mana, they take 100 damage.

Wow that's crazy. If a ninja uses smoke, they're screwed. Now I have to remember when fighting a samurai to not activate any skills. :/

I imagine that there is a cap of maximum damage that inversion can do - As a single skill being able to do 100 damage is even more overpowered than giving rangers root.

Also Samurai's Bladegrasp is that a passive or only for 1 autoattack. a

I like the potential combinations of class/profession that exist. I'm going to be managing a group of players and working shops, so Wizard/Merchant is a great combo. I can call people to me, send them somewhere else, and even give them items from a distance. It's the perfect restocking strategy! :p

Other combos I've seen include Necromancer/Alchemist for a Nether player, Farmer/Ranger for solo players, and Cleric/Smith for bringing others to 110% during a raid (I bet these guys would be in high demand).

Since Alchemists are the only ones who will able to use potions, combining it with a Healer spec will be amazing support.

There is a cap on how much Empathy and inversion can do. Both will also probably require a reagent of sorts.
