Right now im working on getting a better graphics card and getting windows 7 sense its currently Windows Vista and aint that great. If you have any tips on upgrading my PC please help.

(Button Above)

I have been looking for a way better computer to actually game on. I have found a site called 'iBUYPOWER' and it looks like they have some really nice stuff. I really don't want to spend a whole lot such as $1,000! They let you customize everything.
So if you guys could suggest a computer and even the specs on it which I should get that will be cheap that will be greatly appreciated. The only reason why I'm asking you guys it because I'm not very well knowing with computers.

From what I have found that I like would be these two
Special-B
AMD Athlon II X2 DDR3 Configurator

1K$
Isn't really much for a good pc.
If you want something to be called a GAMING pc you would have to double or tripple that amount:p

Well I got my laptop for 1K, it has 4gb ram, and a dual core i5 processor(CPU)

But hey, I'm from Norway.. We're rich fuckers ;)

Build one. Trust me, it's NOT very difficult. If you can put together walmart furniture, or build a bike, then you can do it. I built my very first computer in February of this year, and I can barely operate the damn things. You can save yourself $200-300 dollars for a good computer, so it's totally worth it. The hardest part is just researching what works well together, and you've got a lot of gamers here to ask for advice.

I had to "re-publicize" my build list, so I'll post it up when it comes back to the public lists on Newegg.

Tips I could have used :

Buy a "builders copy" of Windows 7 from the same place you order parts. It's cheaper than going to the local dept. store for one.

Order a wrist strap, to prevent static discharge while handling the processor. I had to build mine without one, by keeping one hand on a grounded metal surface the entire time I worked near the processor. Made me very nervous.

yes, just run a dxdiag (check google on how, I don't know your Operating System). We don't need all your driver info, just the hardware name and specs.

Your processor is fine, more than fine it's pretty good. However your integrated graphics only have 286MB of memory, my laptop (now priced at $700something) has a graphics card with 1GB of memory. Sounds like a huge difference yeah? That's because it is.

If your computer is advertised with/you know you have a graphics card, you may have switchable graphics and you should right click your desktop and explore your options that appear to relate to graphics, you may find an option to turn it on. Mine doesn't do that, but your might. Then again I have a laptop so yeah.

EDIT: If my memory serves me right, I believe Vista was notorious for using 2GB of RAM all to itself and leaving the rest for everything else you do, like Minecraft. Upgrading to Windows 7 will free up 1GB of that. Because 7 takes like 1GB of your RAM to work. Since you only have 3GB of RAM, and if I'm right, only can use 1GB of it at any given time, you should invest in both more ram, and Windows 7. I'm assuming you only have a 32 bit operating system. If you can get someone to research for you if your processor is able to handle 64 bit you should get 64 bit Windows 7, because you can ONLY use 4GB of RAM with 32 bit, but you can have INFINITE RAM with a 64 bit operating system.
