Oh yeah i read and understood it, i just feel people that do grief don't deserve to be on this server, i mean they get the opportunity to play on a dedicated server with 80+ people on at a time with no lag for free, yet these morons come onto the server and take it upon them self to grief other peoples stuff they either did not read the rules like they say or were asked to do or they have no respect for the server or the people on it so there for if they have no respect they should not be given it and got rid of they are a waist of space is my eyes and they don't deserve to be on this server.
Here, we're equivocating two valid but sometimes confusing meanings of the word "griefing". The kind of griefing that you're referring to, the one that gets you banned, is any deliberate action outside of the rules of the server that makes the experience of other users less enjoyable. This is most commonly manifest in the wanton, unauthorized destruction of structures built by our fellow players. Here, we have a
guilty act committed by a player
with a guilty mind.
Now, when I discussed griefing in the previous thread, I referred to "griefing" defined as the removal of blocks belonging to another player, or the placement of blocks in an area belonging to another player. This definition of griefing is identical to the definition you refer to insomuch as the rules are concerned, but it
does not imply the perpetrator had a guilty mind, and it is therein that we are concerned with the offending party's criminal liability and their potential to be rehabilitated and become a contributing member of Herocraft.
This has been posted for the benefit of your understanding, DanVonTrap, and for the understanding of any others who might be troubled by what on the surface may seem an arbitrary corrections system. The staff need not explain itself; only know that we have always acted as a unit in these matters, and that it has always been for the benefit of Herocraft as a whole.
