Banned by?: Unknown? (I think it was, Xanipher/Sheddi/Lucky since they were
on during the incident.)
Time of ban: 8pm PST?
Reason for ban: "X-ray hack"
Your story: I was banned for being filmed by a mod abusing a chunk error.
I have heard many people, (including the mods who "caught me in the act")
admit to using chunk errors for the benefit of seeing rare materials in the
Earth. In my case, there were 2 chunk errors with 1 chunk in between, so I
used them to mark way points and estimated the y-coordinate... I then proceeded
to walk around the caves until I found a point at which I decided would be
good to mine from, to get to the ore. I got the ore and then came up... I
was outside NEO, and I was going to use these newly found diamonds to pay
back a diamond full block as a tribute to bearcat since I accidently broke
one of his while raiding his house the day before. I was told to give it to
MatTrip, who when I attempted to give it to attacked me, so I slayed him. After
I slayed him, I was attacked by an invisible force, so I fled the scene and ate
food... I returned to the scene to reclaim my diamond block and then I was attacked
again! Once again by this invisible force... so I flee while eating food and
taking severe damage. I send a whisper to Xanipher saying something along
the lines of "Huh? I thought I was paying back this block, not getting killed?" and
she never responded. I was then sent a message which I couldn't interpret and the
second line of it regarded my movement being disabled... as well as me being set
on fire. I proceeded to eat my remaining food and log out, because I did not want
to die, and I suspected foul play do to the fact that, I had my movement
suspended while I was being killed by someone who was invisible. Within a few
minutes of this happening, Xanipher and or Sheddi and or Lucky (the staff members
I am sure who were on at the time, although it easily could be someone else) then
went ahead and banned me from the HeroCraft TS3 server, ignoring me completely.
The staff members proceeded to unwhitelist me and not talk to me about anything
I did wrong. Not to mention how poorly and unprofessional that is, I still am not
sure what I did wrong! No one even told me! Anyways, this morning I went to log in
and I found out "You have been banned." instead of the unwhitelist message... I
feel that I did not break any rules, (other then using a chunk error to my advantage)
and if that rule being broken requires a ban, then I can find members to vouch that
significantly many people have been doing it and should also be effectively punished.
Like I have been for the same offense. The mods who I mentioned earlier, excluding
Lucky, have been heard on TS3 as using Chunk Errors just as I have... with this being
said I feel that me being banned for such a crime is outrageous to say the least.
Thanks for taking time to read my ban appeal, I hope something can be resolved,
as I love HeroCraft and I play it all the time. I also ask that you respond to me
timely, as I wish to be able to continue playing... or at least have the entire
situation explained to me.
