Gathering Materials for Building

I've just recently joined the server with big dreams of becoming an architect and was stunned by a lot of the progress made on the server. The initial city, roadwork and towers all surrounding it must have taken a lot of time to plan, fund and build. It makes me wonder though... Was all of that smooth-stone mined, then forged smooth, turned into slabs, then placed? If so, great! However it seems more realistic that a large portion of the resources came from admin intervention. Is this true? If thats the case how can I get involved in these "public works" projects. I just want to know before I commit so much time to mining and funding my own projects only to see someone else get 1000 iron blocks warped in.

zeal (initial city) to the best of my knowledge was made outside of the herocraft server than pasted in. all materials for projects outside of zeal are 100% player earned.

To get in on other public projects, all you have to do is ask! Convince the admins that it's worth building, if they don't like it (or just aren't interested in being a part of it), they won't sanction it. They won't give you the materials for projects; that will all have to come from in-game.

That answers my question. Thanks!
