I liked the idea of helping people out, but then I wanted to help myself out.

Healer->Disciple

I love pushing spiders onto walls and disciples are surprisingly tough for being a healer spec.

Anything that involves bows and arrows makes me savor for more! Rogues ftw.

I fell in love with the Healer class in pre-Zeal, still love it now. ;D
Although back then it could heal instanteously with no cooldowns and no mana cost to bandage, so with more than a stack of paper the healer was effectively completely immortal. So... yeah...

I started out as a healer, with the intention of going Desciple. However I found the whole "sneaking around/avoiding orthodox fights" part of being a Rogue was a bit more up my alley at the time, so I went that route. Haven't regretted it yet; gotta love me some sneak. Great for scouting out victims to loot in the wild.
