Suggestion Enchanter Testing

I suggest for testing enchanter the lapis block requirement be lowered. It currently costs 84~ blocks of lapis to enchant 1 god pick and that is the reason I haven't tested any enchanting. IT gives no room for testing as I have to mine 18+ hours to collect the lapis to test 1 enchant. IF the enchant doesn't work that's 36 hours of my time alone going towards testing 1 class.

I suggest maybe 5-10 blocks of lapis per enchant is a little more reasonable.

5-10 blocks for the sake of testing enchanter in beta, right? I feel like for the live release of the server that's too little, something higher (but not as much as 84 blocks) sounds more reasonable to me. In any case, I think your idea sounds good : p

I suggested this be lowered a while ago, not just for testing but in general, it takes hours and hours of mining just to get an Okay pick to farm one god item it takes the most ridiculous amount of time.

Well, "God Items" should require "sweat to be spilled", so to speak, but 84 blocks does seem kinda ridiculous. Maybe 50 blocks would be good, anything below that doesnt sound very hard at all tbh. I easily can get 10-20 lapis blocks in one day if I really tried so yeah, I wouldnt want it to be lower than 50, even though 84 is too much.

one day for one item though? Eventually the server won't have lapis at this rate, maybe making Lapis purchasable in a market would be a great addition. Honestly the whole Economy system needs to be evaluated but back on topic If more people had enchanted gear pvping them winning and getting that gear would be a larger reward and more feel good moment. I can farm a god set in MC in less than a day why would it take 5x the amount of time on HC? HC seems to be taking alot of the MC feel out of the game for no reason and no reward at all...

While I fully agree right now feels like a lapis grinding sim for enchanters, I don't think just decreasing the lapis amount is the solution. Instead, I would suggest enchants require up to two ingredients. For example, unbreaking would require a certain combination of obsidian and lapis, sharpness would require a combination of quartz and lapis, etc. This feels like the perfect balance to me and makes the enchanter profession a little more interesting.

That's a really cool idea, it adds more depth and challenge to getting an item enchanted without also having to mine 80-100 blocks just for one item to get enchanted with "god enchants"

Yeah hoping to see some stuff done soon hopefully its already going on the 20th of sept like 11 days till release 9 for double maxers is suppose to happen and we havent seen much yet :( would also be nice to see other ways of leveling professions other than mining. If I mine 100 blocks of lapis to enchant i should get a considerable amount of levels with enchanter but we see nothing.

We will be taking your feedback into consideration, and reduce the number of lapis required for the enchanter.

We have had this debate, several times in our staff discussions, Currently, we all agreed that it would/will only be ONE kind of requirement this was to reduce the complexity of the system for new players. I can take this topic back to the team again and get some more input for you though.

Yeah I think Lapis requirement reduced would be amazing.
