Suggestion Dye Extraction from Wool.

It would be cool if there was an ability to extract the dye from a block of colored wool. Toss on a decent cooldown to prevent wool from a source of collecting lapis, bonemeal, etc. And maybe have the wool consumed in the progress instead of returning white wool.

You could dye a sheep, shear it for 1-3 dyed wool, extract (and duplicate) the dye, and then wait for the sheep to regrow to repeat the process. It may be a slow process, but it is still allows you to duplicate dye instead of wandering the map and gathering it.

That's where the cooldown comes in. If the cooldown was, say, 30 minutes, then you couldn't duplicate much dye- less than a stack per day, in fact.

Exactly. It'd have to have a long cooldown to prevent abuse. But still possible to get that precious one or two dye so you can start breeding that color or store the dye for when you go to do that color.

I don't get the need for this all basic colors but Blue is found by walking around in the overworld, and lapis isn't even that hard to get.

No I am just thinking if a way that would help the interdependence of all prof. Which all prof is useful to another and yea the skull summon bat is useless.

You obviously understood what he was saying.

As for the topic at hand. The majority of dye's are easy to obtain anyway so its pointless to have a skill that gets it for you.

Yes the dyes are easy to get, but it would be pretty helpful to like extract dye from wool and sell dyes to other farmer. So they can obtain those dyes too.

Yeah, the whole point was to simply make it easier to get a hold of dyes. When we summon sheep, we get 1 - 3 randomly colored sheep. That's cool, but it would be nice to cull the colors we don't want when breeding a specific color and store the resulting extracted dye for when we -do- want that color.
