As most of you may or may not know, dragons will be in 1.9 in the "Ender Realm".

Since Dragoons are, according to Aerokill Dragoons killed dragons. What I am proposing is the Dragoons should be able to summon a dragon's "spirit" that they killed against their enemies. The skill would be a level 50 skill, or somewhere close to that, have a %100 mana cost, a long CD, and possibly a reagent of some kind.

I think , if controled, it would be really cool, or perhapse something like a dragon's breath skill, causes fire to spew everywhere

their tech. is already a plugin for riding any type of mob (and for admins players) Though their is no plugin for controlling their movements yet since player movement is almost all client side and mob movement is all server side.

Beastmasters should be able to ride one, Dragoons able to spawn an allied one.

EDIT: The Dragoon dragon should be stronger because they cannot ride the dragon.

Reagent should be 3 enderpearls.

Interesting... I do like the idea of a Dragon Breath skill. I want to think of a cool effect, though...

Before we get anywhere else (like on a dragon's back), I'd like to see their attack patterns and how the eggs are handled. Summoning a dragon that attacks people based on who the Dragoon is attacking, like a wolf, would be awesome. Making the reagent an Eye of Ender would be suitable, I think. Blaze powder...

btw dragoon tech has nothing to do with a dragon

The word dragoon originally meant mounted infantry, who were trained in horse riding as well as infantry fighting skills. However, usage altered over time and during the 18th century, dragoons evolved into conventional light cavalry units and personnel. Dragoon regiments were established in most European armies during the late 17th century and early 18th century.

I think summoning dragons would be fun too!

Wiki also says that their name may come from the name of an early firearm the French dragoons used. There's your connection to smoke and fire.

Pretty interesting stuff actually- there's a tie to Swiss pikemen, and here and there different dragoons are mentioned as being armed with spears. So the FF team didn't just pull that out of their backends. Which is cool. Since discovering that, gunplay stuff has hovered on the very edge of my radar for Dragoon skills, haha.

Create an arquebus for dragoons? Could have a reagent (possibly gunpowder) shoots a projectile that causes the target to bleed?

Theirs a reason why your diamond shovel is called a dragoon lance. Spears and lances are almost the same thing. If we were gona keep to the theme of the origin of dragoons. Jump would be changed to pole vault, haha.

Yup. Jump is put in to simulate mounted charges and riding down fleeing combatants, I think. Very little relation to dragons.

I don't mean to sound like a hater, but I don't like the idea of dragons as pets in herocraft. A large flying pet would be limited to usage in extremely open areas only, and flying mounts would be broken as shit. Not to mention how every other class in the game would be constantly demanding their own cool pet.

Besides, there is a reason why Notch has Ender Dragons break blocks they fly through: their pathing is beyond horrible. If you've ever played the Aether mod, then think Aerwhales. With block breaking disabled, they will get permastuck on hills, walls, cliffs, leaves, anything in their way.

But for every sPec could have a strong mount for examPle a dragon. But hopefully spout gives us the ability to get other mounts. Like warrior specs can get a dragon casters get tp. Rogues get horses. Crafters get cars or something like that.
