Dragoon's

Okay, so I think there should be some minor changes with the Dragoon class right now. Basically they have their 2 main skills Jump and Charge. I am suggesting a third skill, Fly, and some changes to the current skills as well.
_____________________________________________________________________
Lvl 10 - Jump - 20% MP - 2.5 sec CD

Right now Jump is fine how it is. Most speced classes get their first good skill at lvl 10, and the cool down is fine as well. Everything is good for this skill.
_____________________________________________________________________
Lvl 30 - Charge - 40% MP - 6 sec CD

As you can see I changed the lvl lock of this to 30. I have not used this skill yet, but I have heard from others that it is pretty well and works fine for the most part. People told me that when you use charge, your back is facing the target. So I am not sure if that will ever be changed, but I think that since Dragoon's don't get any other skills around the twenties, they deserve charge at lvl 30. I also changed the MP to 40%, since Jump is 20%, this is basically double a Jump, so 40% is a reasonable.

Lvl 50 - Fly - 65% MP - 20 sec CD

The Dragoon class:

Immitating flying dragons, these knights created a unique way of fighting. Skilled with spears, jump attacks and defense. The Dragoon is a Specialty class from the Warrior Path. Knights given wings.

Dragoon's are warriors with wings, so why don't they have a skill that makes them fly? The skill fly would be similar to Jump, except the user would stay in the air for 4 seconds. You would propel yourself with the spacebar, and you would suffer fall damage if used it at a certain height. This would make Dragoon's unique, and more powerful against Rangers. This skill is only obtained at lvl50. With it's high MP and longer cooldown,, it is a one time strike skill, similar to Bolt and other lvl50 skills.

Go ahead and let me know what you think =]

wait... how would fly make them more powerful against rangers? jump already lets you get to high places and with a bit of lag you can get even higher.

Doubt we'll get fly, but it would be nice to be shown some love considering how much love the other classes are getting right now. It'd be awesome to have a 50 skill just to show for hard work.

Why do you need a skill to get closer to rangers? There is a fighting style for each class and often a way to defeat any other class with skill. Simply jump then charge to get within reach of your spear or use the terrain to ur advantage. Nobody including a ranger can shoot you through a block. Flying is just and exagerated jump, dragoons need something other than a movement spell.

Maybe a skill like a spear throw or impail to hold the enemy still.

Everyone go play Dissidia: 012 and play as Kain form Final Fantasy 4

Get him to level 100, play with every attack he's got.

THEN suggest skills for Dragoons.

I did that a while ago i do belive, anywho for the most part warriors are done with skill implementiations for the time being imo. Healers and Crafters still need some skills and balancing to be done (mainly crafters) and rogues could use a few things too. I actually just had a though for a decent Theif skill that im going to suggest in abit.

Yeah, no flight for any class.

Again, wait for 1.8, but I think an Impale skill could be fun. Consumes a shovel (stone, maybe perhaps iron), Deals damage to an enemy some distance in front (I'm thinking 15ish damage, and an arrow could be used for the projectile or it could go in a straight line for X distance), knocks them back and if they bump up against a wall, they end up Rooted for a short time, during which the Dragoon could conceivably Charge, attack, and Jump away. Such an attack would cover damage-dealing, range, and a secondary effect for Dragoon.

And hey, using jwplayer's Thief suggestion, there's some synergy there- Attract the attention of an enemy with the Thief, get the Dragoon around on the other side a middling distance away, Thief goes Camo and Dragoon uses Impale in rapid succession, ensuring the Root effect. The two then proceed to whale on the enemy until the Root wears off.

Also rebounding Jump.

Holy Shit! Daz all those Ideas sound absolutley amazing!!!!!! I agree jump and charge are not enough to make a class and I think impale would be well on its way to making it happen.

Okay so Fly is a no no. Just was an idea. But I love the idea of impaling your enemy into a wall! That would fit Dragoon's nicely, and it sounds pretty cool.

Well one of Kain's attacks in DFF:012 is like a wind-esque blast form shoving his Dragoon lance towards the enemy.

Perhaps the dragoon could have a skill like Force Push, but not as far as the monks do. Just far enough to be out of melee range.

Then they CHARGE for the kill! Hence a better use of charge.

Two skills improvements with one stone! (see what I mean, play dissidia:012, Kain is a great character in that game :p)

Really? You really just said that? Dragoons have TWO skills. TWO. Compare that to thieves and any other class for that matter and then tell me that other classes need more done to them than dragoons. I know I'm a little biased but come on, two skills?

As more skills are created, more will be granted.

Jump is one of the most powerful skills in the game, currently. It's usefulness knows no bounds.

I will be trying to have a 'super jump' added. So we can have a 'true' dragoon jump going on.
