As many people know, Dragoon is in a fairly weak spot. There are lots of different ways that it could be fixed
  • Stamina cost reduction
  • Damage increase
  • New skill
My idea is taking a different route, and a mechanic change.

Whenever you use Jump you gain Momentum (think of Momentum as a type of Blood Union-it stacks). Max Momentum stacks would be 5. If you do not gain Momentum for 10 seconds you lose all of your stacks. Each stack would give you 5 Agility until you become 'exhausted'
  • First Stack: 5 Agility
  • Second Stack: 10 Agility
  • Third Stack: 15 Agility
  • Fourth Stack: 20 Agility
  • Fifth Stack: -30 Agility and Slowness II
Note that the Agility is adding 5 each time. You only have an extra 10 Agility at the 2nd stack, it is not adding 10 onto the previous 5.
The fifth stack is there to prevent too much mobility. It also gives the Dragoon something to manage, if they go over they are punished.

The stacks last 10s, meaning if you jump you gain 5 Agility for 10s. If you do not jump again in 10s you will lose that stack. So on so forth. The fifth stack will not disappear until the 10s are up, Jumping again will not reset this.

Dragondash is a very unreliable skill, and in my opinion should be coupled directly with Jump (it just makes sense). I've been told that it would be too difficult to make it so you can only use Dragondash during your Jump, but if it costs a Momentum stack it means that you need to use Jump before using Dragondash.
  • Dragondash costs 1 Momentum stack
  • Dragondash no longer costs stamina but instead restores 1.5 stamina bars (150 stamina)
A main problem with Dragoon is the stamina costs, and the Momentum change alone will not deal with this problem. Dragondash needs more of an incentive to be used (hence why it restores stamina)

Dragoon can get away easy enough. Why would they get a speed boost to follow that, that would be pretty easy to ascape?

It was more about limiting them to a certain amount of Jumps before a negative effect.

Or you could make the momentum so that after X amount of Basic Attacks Landed they gain Speed X or Their Next Skill Costs No/Reduced Amount (of) stamina

I just changed it from speed boosts to Agility. This way it will not interrupt speed pots and be true to the 'momentum' aspect.
