Douchebaggery now bannable?

It has come to my attention that EpicPoodle has been permanently banned from Herocraft. I simply do not understand this. When he was banned, the ban message said it was for 'General douchebaggery'. Now since when was being rude/mean to someone a banable offense? Can I go around pe'ing now because someone called me an asshole?

I was also told he was banned because he party teleported people to him and then killed them. I don't understand that. Why would you accept a random party invite from someone? It's their fault for doing that.

Once you got to know EpicPoodle, he was actually a pretty cool guy. I think everyone hated him because of the fact that a few well known/powerful players like staff didn't like them for whatever reason.

I agree 100%, I understand if he was speed/fly hacking or x-ray but foul mouth gives no reason to ban someone. I was with poodle the whole day that day and he did not hack or grief. He did group teleport people but thats there own fault as Howdanrocks said. He mistakenly hit his own macro that shouts a racial slur but had no intentions to hurt anyones feelings. After a few seconds he was kicked by Bearcat and then banned by Seratt for "General Douchebagery". Honestly that is pathetic.

Firstly, as stated multiple times, "Staff reserves the right to remove any player for any reason" - this includes generally not fitting in with the server.

Now, as you may, or may not know, this is NOT EpicPoodles first ban. He has 2 24 hour bans, a 3 day ban, multiple kicks and a 7 day ban from Teamspeak under his belt. For mass griefing, pvping in Zeal, Harassing players, badmouthing staff, exploiting regions, etc.

This final ban was not just for being a douchbag, since you clearly ignored what I stated in chat earlier, I will tell you AGAIN.

Epicpoodle - Kicked and warned for griefing other players. Banned for shortly after spamming racial expletives in chat. He has been suspended before for block jumping. It also came to my attention he has an alt account Krukz.
Krukz - See above. Both perm-banned.

Alt accounts are illegal, a third griefing offense on multiple players, and racial expletives in chat have sealed his permanent ban. This is NOT the kind of person we want on our server, so they have been removed.

Everything you are listing is from previous bans/kicks. The final one was for ACCIDENTALLY shouting a racial expletive because he had it bound to a key and party teleporting people to him.

I don't really care. He was told to stop in tells, and continued. I'm looking at the file right now. If you don't want to be removed, don't bind expletives to your keys... it's very simple.

He's been given many chances. And they've been wasted.

He would use his skills to attack and kill people in No PVP, he was temp banned multiple times. He was lucky he wasn't perm banned earlier. Not so. my group was nice and accidentally killed epicpoodle, so we asked him if he wanted us to group tp to our spot so he could get his shit. He got it, tp'ed away, then group tp'd us to some dungeon that ares and atlas were waiting at. That is misusing that skill and exploiting it.

I agree with Aph. They have the right to ban him. By banning him under ''General Douchebaggery'', this means he has:

- Been rude to players, swearing ect ect. Has been told not to, but continues.
- Breaking server rules, told not to, then continues.
- Cheating, told not to, then continues.

You get the idea? The douchebag definition here is someone whom persists and continues something that is wrong despite the scolding that they ahve recieved.

To avoid any future hastle from him, I presume the admins have just perm banned him. He obviously has caused a lot of trouble in the past, so doing this will prevent it happening from here on out.

Also, Epic Poodle has also done stuff like post threads on THIS forum requesting the ban of OTHER members of the server. He, someone who has harassed players at spawn, once made a thread asking for the ban of a player that did what he did, just not as bad.

It is frowned upon to mislead players on this server. This, which is obvious, includes the teleportation of players unaware of the group teleport ability.

How would you feel first time coming into a server to be instantly killed over and over without justification? I would hate that. Seriously I would.

The ban that was made permanent was because he accidentally said rude messages because they were bound to a key, which I still don't find is worthy of a ban. He didn't cheat or anything to get that ban so idk where you got that from.

Epicpoodle was suspended last night due to harassing other players. Common sense dictates his actions were harassment, which is clearly stated as illegal on the wiki. After reviewing Epic's long list of "warnings", I upgraded the suspension to a permanent ban.

Why won't it change? Are you saying the admins and stubborn and not open to new ideas? In my opinion, a one week ban and telling him that the next one is permanent would be fair.
