Bug Disappearing items

i had 53 gold ore in my inventory and it randomly disappeared. i logged of and check, went home and checked and did everything else, i was helping my friend buy his next class, please help.

Need more details. Did you log off when in combat? What were you doing before you lost it? Did you put it somewhere that you may have forgotten about?

no i didnt combat log, it was in my inventory when disappeared i was walking to spawn and went through nexus

Just today I had a possibly related problem - I died once and my inventory did not drop (i was not carrying a chest at the time) onto the ground - all of my items simply vanished. Then I drowned five minutes later nearby and the same thing occurred. I was back to the scene both times in less than thirty seconds so the items did not despawn in that time. There were no players anywhere nearby and nothing that could have destroyed the items. Note that my armor also vanished both times and it was at full durability. I don't want this to be a recurring issue please help.

Why did you grave dig? You realize this thread is over 7 months old?

There's certain server side things that will remove items that sit too long on the ground - this is not a bug - the tombstone plugin helps with this but does not fix it outright.

Or someone just flat out picked up your items. I've taken tons of dead noobs stuff before that I happened to run across.
