Decrease latency?

Greetings! Do you guys have any tips on decreasing latency? I don't mind the two to half a second delay when mining / getting wood but it really hinders killing mobs since I often get killed first. I normally get one to two bar signals on the HeroCraft servers (both mc.herocraftonline.com and eu.hc.to). Will using VPNs help with this or will it worsen it?

The latency depends most on where in the world you are..
If you are from Europe, be sure to use eu.hc.to or whatever the EU IP is..
And if you are on a wireless network, try to connect using a cable (this may not have the biggest effect, but if will help).

If you live outside the US you should be prepared for 200-400ms.

Yeah, I tried that too, best signal I can get is 2 for each server (mc.herocraftonline.com, eu.hc.to, us.hc.to). Recently, it's also causing a lot of problems when some high-leveled player decides to have some fun and plunder me for my iron.

That might be why... you need a direct route to Central TX - thats going to be several MS.

When you say I need a direct route to Central TX, is that problem fixable without me actually having to migrate to the U.S.?
