First of all:

Ban for Kainzo. Advertising another server.

Second of all:

Let's all play on a Brazilian server that only speaks Portuguese, since Herocraft is down...
Dude give me the ip!
Wait let me guess it craftlandiasucks.13yearoldadmin.com?

I'm currently on the line with a nice gentleman from GoDaddy (their hosting provider). Stay tuned!

Just got off the phone. Told the gentleman from GoDaddy what was going on, gave him some info and links, and he told me he handed it off to their investigation team. He said this was the first time he'd heard of anything like this happening and that he marked their account as well. I recommend anyone who wants to help calls them as well, the more complaints GoDaddy gets the more likely they'll shut them down. (Of course this won't stop the DDoS as they're probably using a botnet or something, Kainzo probably knows more about this.)

GoDaddy only hosts their website and forums though, not their Minecraft servers. A company called VIASITE hosts them (most likely colohosts). I'm reluctant to call their customer support though since they probably only speak Portuguese (does anyone speak it? Let me know). Also I'm sure they're closed by now since it's 1:27 AM there.

If we could get either (or both) hosts to revoke their accounts I think it would be a win for Herocraft.

Craftlandia is currently using a .htaccess "Deny from All" rule to prevent anyone from accessing their site, but they do actually have a site and forums. You can access it (raw text version) via Google Cache (and possibly Archive.org's wayback machine, I haven't tried that though.) and see a lot more info. If their hosting was revoked they would probably lose everything (Over 100,000 forum posts, etc) because these guys don't strike me as the type to back stuff up.

As for VIASITE, they are most likely colohosting with them which means that Craftlandia's physical server is at VIASITE's datacenter. I'm not sure what VIASITE's policies are but it would probably be a bit difficult for Craftlandia to get their server back after being accused of a crime like this (Look at Kim Dotcom. He wasn't convicted of anything initially but the company that hosted his servers wiped them clean and wouldn't return them.)

Craftlandia's time is coming, and it's coming quick. This might not be their first DDoS raid but I can assure you it will be their last.

Wow thats some epic backlash they'll (hopefully) get. lose both the website and game servers? I know we at herocraft frown on leetspeak but I think this calls for it in this case........
PWNAGE!!!
But seriously did they really think we would give in because of such a cowardly attack? We will never surrender because WE ARE HEROCRAFT!!
