Suggestion custom weapons idea

So my suggestion is that each weapon type has a set attribute associated with it as a baseline. For example swords always have a higher damage, axes add + health, shears add +speed, hoe gives more mana regen, blazerod fire aspect, spade featherfall, so on and so forth. Then open up at least 2 weapon options per class that do the same damage.

This would allow people to have even more customization.

Except casters, who would only use a hoe. Giving a caster bonus knockback for a staff would be super beneficial, instead of knock back resistance. So granting two different types of how drops, one with a knockback bonus, and one that grants extra mana, would be ideal.

the prob with +hp weapons is that as soon as you scroll off the weapon to drink a potion etc. you lose that extra hp

+hp was a suggestion, could be a heal on hit, or deals half dmg but ignores armor (would be good for a spade). I just like the idea of dif weapon styles actually playing a role. As for casters a stick could be an option, allowing knockback (for disciple too).

I once made a mob for the DOD that had a 1/200 drop for a knockback 3 gold hoe, but I had it removed about three days later. I think only three or four people had it.
Damn. Wish I had caught onto that item. Geez..

Knockback IV slapple works for me, though.
