Reason for mute: Allegedly trolling
Your story: Kainzo took my joke as trolling. He told someone to stay out of help chat unless they needed something. I jokingly said in OutOfCharacter chat 'Yeah, Kainzo, stay out of help unless you need something, jeez.' Apparently his funny box was malfunctioning and I was muted. He then proceeded to inform me via /tell's that this was my 'last warning' and anything else I 'did' beyond that would result in a ban. I was also informed that I have apparently been disrespecting staff in a non-joking way, which I can only assume was a reference to a conversation in Elite chat about 'clientside lag', in which I tried to get a point across, but had my intellect belittled by Kainzo several times because he has 'Been in this business for 10 years', which obviously renders any of my life experiences useless. I personally find this far more offensive and non-jokeish than my comment in the channel, and since I can't exactly tell him to can it without being rude, I simply took it in stride and carried on, which is the same courtesy I request in this situation.
I simply want the mute lifted. I find it hard to believe that my random jokes here and there come close to being mute-worthy, when I watch players (new and veteran alike) fling out offensive slurs and blatantly insult eachother, and admins, on a hour-by-hour basis with absolutely no reprimanding at all. I like to believe that it goes on like it does because there are no admins on at the time, but some days I just don't know.
