With root your view point is fixed and thus you cannot aim jump/charge

I don't have a big enough mana pool to blink root AND fireball. Then again, I don't carry around a sack of cookies everywhere I go.

Hmm, what are the thoughts on maybe allowing consume of cookies across the board but adding a few things just the spec'd casters? Bucket of water, melons, fish, the food that doesn't doesn't satisfy hunger much. ;D I would be all for it. Every class would benefit and once we transfer over to the next version with potions I'm sure we can customize one of the potions to be a mana potion ;D

I am basing my argument off of the arena fight I had against a level 45 wizard as a master dragoon. In theory the dragoon should have had the fight hands down. But I could not get near him and every time I did I was either instantly rooted or he blinked away.
I mean ye on the off chance I did get close enough to deal damage i'm still doing 7 damage a hit vs a fireball in the face doing 20 and he was able to get fireballs off more often than I was able to hit him.

Your basing your argument off of a single encounter. There are too many variables in one fight, perhaps your opponent was just more skilled PvP wise than you. I don't see why a dragoon should have the fight, just because it was in close quarters.

ok i phrased that incorrectly I have based my argument on all of the past 1v1 dragoon vs speced caster fights I have participated in or have watched. This includes but is not limited to Howdan's fight as well as a fight with C12 in it.
