After listening in to a conversation I had with someone about bloodmage I ended up checking the class out and saw that one skill was pretty awesome. It was called Soul-Leach. I think the concept is great, I'll quote the wiki,
Pretty awesome concept right? A draining spell that heals you, so if you use the skill on someone, it is possible to gain back around 27hp. Pretty powerful! It seemed like a great skill until I look ed at the cooldown though...
What concerned me was that it had a cooldown of only three seconds, only using 3 mp. Now unless this is a typo, I think that there is some balancing that needs to be done. With these kind of specs, a bloodmage can use it many times over on different people, leaching health from a whole crowd so they never lose any hp. All the while doing damage. If the mp usage really is 3, the they can do it at least 99 times, not counting mana regeneration. I think that's a cause for concern.
If however, the mp usage is 30, I still feel that the 3 second cooldown should be tweaked. Not drastically, perhaps 10 seconds, or even 5. Keep in mind that a bloodmage is doing damage and healing simultaneously. Or a final solution would be to move it on up to level 55. Then I feel it would be appropriate for the mastery level. For 10 seconds, your target take 6 damage every 3 seconds and you gain 150% of the damage as health.
