Suggestion Command Undead

I was thinking that it would be pretty cool if necromancers got a "Command Undead" ability, which allowed them to take control of zombies and skeletons they find in the world. Once commanded, the zombies/skeletons would behave like the summon skeleton spell is supposed to, but they would not have a limit or duration. However, they would burn in sunlight like any other undead so they would not be permanent without specific care. Could possibly be their level 60 ability, if one hasn't already been made.

:p actually sounds like a good idea, except limit the number of undead you can command.

It could be limited, but imo it should only be limited by a cooldown of something like 30 seconds so you can only get so many before daybreak, when they burn.

Something like this would require us to hook into the AI, which currently has no API and isnt 'easy' to do. It is definitely a planned feature for the future to have 'pets' but although you may take for granted 'pets' in most games, this feature isnt exactly easy(or fun!) to do.

Would it be possible to have it destroy target undead, and then summon a pet one that behaves similarly to summoned skeletons with an extended duration - if skeletons are fixed to have correct behavior - or is that too much "work around"-ish?

It's possible, I'd rather find a plugin that handles it properly and just do it the way they do it. Not sure of any do that though.

Then again, don't you always want to do that?
