@Kainzo I know that you are working on healers, but can you please give a temporary nerf to clerics before the big changes go through. They seriously are invincible with 3 second cooldown 18 hp heals and infinite mana with consume. I know you want to make big changes and whatnot but at this point they are gods and its not worth wasting time to try to fight one. Can you make a change to keep them in line until the real changes come through please?

Hmmmm, this is alarming news for me. I just got on this server, after playing on a server called siegecraft that also had the heroes plugin. On siegecraft, I was the only Cleric, in the entire server. What they did to balance it out was just give then VERY low damage input. They literally did about half a heart against someone with leather armor. It worked out well because instead of becoming a good fighter it would promote healing your friends. However, the truth is that ANY healing class will be good at staying alive, and even if they can't kill you, they will always be able to run away and get help. they actually considered giving clerics the Jump skill on siegecraft, so they could run away better.

Clerics are not op. We have the ability to balance our heals with our 1 pvp skill. Every warrior has class has more hp then clerics except for Samurai. So actually warriors op. We may have healing powers but that doesnt make us "op". If you know how to pvp correcctly you would know that its hard to kill any class if they are pvping you. Think of it this way. Clerics havent gotten any skills or anything like that since 2.7.0. While every other class has gained somesort of skill. Dont go around saying classes are op. Kain Balances each class fairly with both attack skills and defense skills.

You have the highest hp in the game if you are spamming pray. The way I'm seeing it is that if you are using anything but pray and consume you are doing it wrong because that brings your overall hp to higher than 200 in a full fight. The longer a fight drags on the better for the cleric also. With the addition of sprint there is no reason that you shouldn't be able to run away and get almost 10 heals off over the course of a fight and that is without the use of consume. Do just a small amount of basic math and you will see how retarded clerics are.

Edit: The trade of being a cleric vs a fighter is that you give up an average of one third the damage in exchange for around 2-3 times the health. Healers should be healing not fighting on the level of a fighter. In the current state clerics are the best support and in the top 3 for straight 1v1s.

Diffuse have you seen many healers on herocraft lately? The correct answer is no. Thats because they are becoming useless with everyone else's damage being so high so many people are switching.

@Kainzo when you say damage will be lowered. D you mean that both smite and our hoe's will have reduced damage or juts 1 or the other?

It is strong enough that, combined with the insane health clerics have, you are stronger than most pure fighters.

Oh, I doubt they will de buff it that much. No matter what, I will be a cleric even if I do half a heart a hit! At least we'll be able to survive getting dropped in lava, while being blown up by a creeper at the same time!

I don't actually recall fighting you as a cleric alone, or you killing me when I was a cleric, but none the less I definitely agree clerics can take more damage and deal slightly more damage than a paladin.

We aren't other servers and don't base our choices on class development on what other servers are doing. We have our own balance and we adjust accordingly. They also aren't the ones developing the plugin...

This is true, Clerics are suppose to heal and be a support class yet they always rape you in a 1v1 or even 1v(insert ridiculous number here) It came clear when one cleric got a 10 kill streak and multiple bounties from one arena match.
That was me, and actually a 25 killstreak lol. For sure they are overpowered but I think with damage being lowered we will be practically rendered useful for heals only, not damage.

mhmm. I wouldn't be surprised if a ninja, samurai or even a paladin won but cleric? Getting a 25 kill streak? Anyways if they are getting a nerf it would balance it out

To be honest the main issue with clerics isn't their damage its the fact that with the ability to were an iron set with diamond armor and have one of the largest health pools out of any class and heal them selves more than any class (due to mana reductions for healer/caster classes). a clerics damage is terrible the issue comes from them having something like 220 effective hitpoints.
I don't think nerfing a cleric's damage is going to solve much as they will still be stupid hard to kill. I think what needs to happen is to nerf the ability to heal themselves, make it so it is more effective for them to heal others than it is themselves.

I just realized that if clerics damage goes away and mining xp goes away they won't have any good way to level :eek:

Clerics are overpowered in general, but Monks especially seem difficult to beat. The problem doesn't lie with their damage, but more with the sheer amount of sustainability they have. Playing a Cleric isn't about dealing more damage than the other player - it's about staying in the fight longer than they can. Either they need to deal less damage, or they need longer cooldowns, because right now I (A 30ish Samurai) am unable to beat a cleric of my own level. If a main DPS class is incapable of taking down what is supposed to be a support class, there's something wrong.

Another solution could be to reduce the amount of base HP of all healers, so they die extremely quickly. They can heal themselves fast enough to maintain survival, but if they are surprised or stunned they will die. This is only one option to nerf healers, and I think the reduction of damage output by healers essentially does the same thing.
