Excluding lost soul, it would be cool if every class had a special item that could serve them. What I have in mind, none of these special items would be weapons, and only a few armour.
I think each item should be usable only by it's related class and should buff something related to them.
Class - Item Name (Base item to be renamed)
Berserker - Bear Skin (Leather)
- Berserkers often wore bear and wolf skins into battle. Str - Const buffed
Paladin - Damsel's Token (Paper)
- The noble knight carries the women's token. Const - End buffed
Dreadknight - Dread Bone (Bone)
Kind of self explanatory. Str - Int buffed <- Debatable, I'm not sure what's best for DK
Dragoon - Power Risers (Diamond boots)
Look them up, they make you jump high Agility buffed, and MAYBE a small jump buff, not sure.
Ninja - Shawl of Silence (Durable leather vest)
Needs to be really durable for leather or else it's just stupid. I'm not going to comment on buff.
Ranger - Sharpest Eye (Spider Eye)
"Help the ranger aim" I'd say increased damage but rangers already deal tons of it. Debate on it.
Runeblade - Ancient Rune (Chiseled Stone)
-Ancient rune to meditate on. Increased rune potency.
Bard - Flower of Charm (Some flower)
- Self explanatory. Buff charisma. (Currently bard doesn't really need buffed at all though -_- )
Pyromancer - Chaotic Flame (Fire charge)
- Self explanatory. Pyro already does way good damage with skills so I'd say buff Int - Wis or Int - Str
Wizard - Focus Crystal (Diamond)
- Buff int - wis
Necromancer - Soul Strand (String)
- Buff int - wis
Beguiler - Mirror of Insanity (Glass Plane)
- I know little of how beguilers work. Debate
Cleric - Medical Book (Book)
Druid - Healing Waters (Water Bucket)
Bloodmage - Dragon Blood (Lava bucket)
Disciple - Wandering Staff (Stick)
I think really all the healers items can do are the same things except for Disciple perhaps. Increased healing, effect int - wis.
I hope this idea doesn't sound stupid, but I think it would be neat if these items were rare drops. Note the rare part. Your chance of getting a drop for your own class should be pretty darn slim.
Looking at how HC has implemented runestones and advanced crafting materials, I feel creating these special items is certainly possible.
