I think casters need to be nerfed. This thread is about the nerfing of the caster base path and only the base path. This thread is not to be confused with Caster specs etc. I
Why Casters are OP:
In my opinion, casters are overpowered for only one reason and that is the skill fireball. Fireball is a good idea and makes casters seem like casters. However, the only problem with fireball is the insane amount of damage in one of them. Just three fireballs is enough for a caster to kill a level 40 rogue like me. Whenever I get killed by a noob (low level base path) it is always a caster. A crafter would have no chance of killing me at a low level. A warrior would also have a low chance of killing me. A healer... no way without offensive skills. A rogue possibly if I was laggy or he surprised me. Casters have a very good chance on killing me. If they are in fireballing range and my back is turned, it is almost a sure death for me. One fireball I can take. Another possibly if I am at full health. A third and I'm gone. During this time frame, you may say that I could charge the noob but here's what happens when I charge:
1. I A-blade. Fine
2. He fireballs and I get pushed back
3. My screen is covered in flames and starts to shake from damage
4. I run to him and get an ablade hit on him. Fine
5. He hoes me back
6. Fireballs me and I die
Take note that he got one fireball before I charged. That adds up to three fireballs and me only getting at least 2 or 3 hits on him, one of which is a-bladed. Those hits are STILL not enough to fell the caster.
If I am carrying a water bucket, I am lucky and I probably would win. If it is raining they are bound to get killed by me. However, chances are I am not carrying a water bucket and it is not raining. This means chances are I will die.
Hell, rogue is a fair class. I've felled ninjas before but I've never have slain a caster lower level than me except when I got the jump/surprise hits on them. Casters just get fireball way too early and for too much damage.
My solution to the OPness of fireball is to reduce the damage of fireball for casters under level 30 and then put it to its regular power at level 30. In addition, casters should only gain fireball at level 10 not 5. Why this is fair:
1. Casters are the only base class with a projectile so they should have it a bit weak
2. Casters get fireball at level 5. This is way lower than rogue even gets sneak or healer getting bandage.
3. It is not realistic or hardcore for casters to get easy kills at level 5. Level 10 is when they unlock a weak version and level 30 is when they get the original version.
Finally, a few touch ups to some unbalanced stuff:
1. Warriors have no viable pvp options except for maybe disarm. I think they should get +1 blade damage or an offensive skill.
2.Crafters should get lava bucket at level 10. Level 20 is simply too high. Basically, it is giving the message to noobs,"Reap the drawbacks of the heroes plugin (item restrictions, armor restrictions, damage restrictions etc.) for 20 levels and then get lava which you already had in vanilla.
If you feel something is wrong with these points feel free to voice your opinions.
