I'm not sure if its a bug but it has happened a couple times. IT happens when you died in the end portal then you will appear in spawn area but when you come back your stuff just disappears. This matters to me because i was carrying diamons

No deathchest spawns while in a block like the portal. The items do stay there for a bit if no one has picked them up. You may end up not being able to get things because you teleport before you manage to grab them.
