Buffing Bards

Should Bard's have hp buff?

Hey, ik bards are a support class. Here are the pluses.

Good Dmg
o.k armour
Skills are somewhat balanced minus quicken/which takes 2 diamonds? on Wiki that is CRAZY
Hp Unbalanced.


So think about it a level 25+ rogue goes up against a level lets say 20 bard. A) Same dmg
B) Rogue HP advantage (which is crazy) think about it a good pvper Rogue could win easy.

I just wanted your ideas on buffing Bard's Hp and maybe adding a skill or two.

Not all of the wiki info is correct, like the HP. The HP on wiki is based on it being 50 levels not 30 and 55.

Yeah Bard is perfectly balanced imo. We can 1 vs. 1 decently and we definitely help a lot with parties.<--- that last part is the main thing - buffing us would make parties we are a part of waay to strong.

It's 15 seconds of ownage. I could a) run away, b) hit and run c)get to a better position or d)dodge attacks (especially ranged) in those fifteen seconds. If used right, it might as well be a 15 second long invuln/pause in the battle.

I'd say that should cost a bit. Maybe not 2....just one perhaps? Or make it more costly but boost the duration?

I'm thinking make it require a disc (any kind) because that fits with the spec and is costly (20c versus 8c) and have the duration last 30 seconds. (Double the cost, double the duration).

Sorry, but I disagree w/this I think that it should be 4 Iron and stay the same.

Kainzo was talking about getting rid of the reagent entirely - so what ever.

I hate reagents that require more than 1 of something. It's inconvenient, requires a waste of resources/money (buying in bulk from chestshops is a waste of money) and makes it seems like I'm using a lot of resources :p

I think that maybe a skill that buffs the parties health capacity would be cool. This should require a reagent and only up the max by 10 health for 15 seconds. 20 mana?

I also love the idea of shouts. I'd love to see skills have an audio effect with them when used for bards. Idk if this is possible, but even combos of notes from the note blocks or bits of the music disc songs would be cool. Not really a buff, but a cool feature.

Just throwing out ideas.

Is there a particuar example of why you think we need to be buffed? Like a fight you had and lost or something? I've found bard to be fairly good even without a party. Once you get pulse things are easier, and icy aura is really awesome too.

I've been thinking of Bard skills.

1. A skill that all cuts enemies stamina by half. Meaning if you have 10 food bars, you go down to 5. If you had 6, you go down to 3, ect ect. Just cut in half.

2. Makes enemies within a 3 block radius have 1.5x cooldown time for all skills for 20 seconds.

3. Switch there pulse, to a poison pulse. 10 damage with a poison effect.

Just some things I thought might be cool to have. Being OP or not isn't up to me. I've never played Bard.

Your Number 1 idea sounds pretty good, If you get their food bar to below 3 you can get away, which is good.

Bards DO NOT need an hp buff. However, all of their skills currently cost mana and stamina.. I strongly disagree with this mana+stamina for ALL skills. :/
