On a more serious note, though, there was a book ages ago I read, found it tucked away in the corner of my Elementary School Library, called Dragonhome. My school didn't have the largest Fantasy section (dragons, magic, ect), kinda depressing.
It was probably one of the first wholly Fantasy books I ever chose for myself and read on my own ( I was young ) and it left a huge impact on me. I recently, I think last year, bought it off ebay and re-read it, and now have the book for myself.
It's books like these that are the best. It may not be on any top 10 list, but it was a huge part of my life, and I will keep the book, and the inspiration it gave me, for the rest of my life.

Mortal instruments, Percy Jackson, heroes of the olympus and Darren Shan are the greatest book that I have seen.
Dies anyone find the book game of thrones quite messy and disorder, cause I found it so.

I had no problem reading the Game of Thrones series and i've read all of the books in a foreign language.

Try find a translated version of the book then The first two books are translated to my language (Norwegian Bokmål), but I prefer to read it in English for practice.

As far as fantasy:
Tolkien - LOTR
Orson Scott Card - Ender's books, Pathfinder
Benjamin Stroud - Bartimaeus Trilogy - Great uncommon read.
Summerland - If you are young and like baseball and unique fantasy. This was the first 500+ page book I read and I put it here for nostalgic reasons.
I did a double take when I saw that Artemis Fowl has 8 books in the series, great starter fantasy series for early teens.

If you are having a hard time reading things as a teenage guy, anything either classic or newish by Tom Clancy should get you started. IF that fails, try Matthew Riley, an Australian author. Remember, Rainbow Six is based on Tom Clancy!

The Illiad and The Odyssey (Homer) are still some of the best stories out there, and the modern english translations read almost as easily as Harry Potter.

My favorite Shakespeare plays are The Tempest and The Merchant of Venice, but they are almost all worth a non-academic read. Do not feel bad about getting the modern day translations, these were not erudite occasions when Shakespeare was originally performed, more like lets get drunk and bring some tomatoes in case they fluff a line.
