To whom this may concern,

Hi, when I first came to the server I had great intentions on building a nice town with my friends. I read all the rules, but I believe I missed a part where it said Flymods were not allowed.
While I was on the server I used the flymod to ascend up and down to assist me with my building projects.
I fully understand that I made a mistake of my own stupidity for not understanding every rule completely.
I apoligize for breaking this rule; "Cheating - Modifying your game to gain an unfair advantage will result in a permanent ban. Please see [this thread] for staff-approved mods."
I believe I have disrespected Herocraft's laws and rules. I only wish to be forgiven, I have read the rules several times since my ban. I ask for a second chance that will not be taken lightly upon my self. I have learned my lesson and removed the flymod and await for forgiveness.

[Edit] I never considered the flymod as hacking or cheating. Its used by all admins of most servers. Also alot of people use this as well. If this was such against the rules, it should be implemented on the server when a user trys to use the flymod they will just be teleported back where the last known position the server knew the player was. So many servers already have this intergrated on their servers. Why not HeroCraft? This is mainly the reason why I didn't think it was breaking any rules, because servers that don't like people flying usually try to restrict all possibility of the flymod functionality.

Also there is no such thing as speed hacking. "Hacking" and "Mods" are two different things.

Anything that gives you an unfair advantage is cheating. It's used by Administrators because, well, they don't have to follow rules. As far as Herocraft goes, we use to make our job that much easier and to increase efficiency. We strive to be lag free; particular mods, not sure about this one, cause lag for various reasons. Well, like it says on our rule page, gaining an unfair advantage is cheating and, in fact, bannable.

Cheaters normally don't get back in; it will be up to the Administrator who banned you whether or not you get back in. I doubt it though; good luck.

In response to your response, as I said before, the Administrator who banned you will have to handle this; just gave my input.

We'd rather not spend precious bandwidth accommodating users who don't read the rules. If you don't want to play by the rules, we'll remove you to make room for someone who does.

In cases such as these, the person who banned you does not need be present. We are very strict on any person who hacks or modifies their client. Whatever your definition of hack/modify may be, it is still best defined as "an unfair advantage".

Nescience will not grant you any special courtesies. Appeal denied.

Also, we have had flymod disabled for a long time. But since you seem to have one that is off the radar, it didn't apply. When you log into the server, the MOTD says "no-fly, no z-cheat"... I mean... does nobody pay attention to things when they first log in?
