Fauxbomb is by far one of the dumbest skills out of every class next to scan and telekinesis.
MP Cost = 100
It says it confuses the enemy by throwing a sheep bomb that does 0 damage. If I just used Plaguebomb then use Fauxbomb, clearly it is a fake Plaguebomb if it says in chat I used Plaguebomb and if Plaguebomb isn't a 2 second CD.
If beguiler is going to get the back end and get a skill like this, then I think other classes like wizard should get a skill called warm snow; Confuse your enemies by shooting a snowball on fire that does 0 damage!

I'm not trying to bash anyone who made the skill or class but all I'm saying is they should get something more than some skill like Faux Bomb. Maybe a skill that turns them into the block they are standing on for 5 seconds. This could be useful if you are running around a hill and turn into the block so when the person you are running from comes around the corner, you are no longer there anymore.

I'm creating a poll to get feedback of other people on the server what they think about the skill.

TL;DR
Skill doesn't benefit or hurt the class in PvP or any situation. Waste of mana and can easily be switched out with a better skill to beguile the enemy.

As I recall this skill was proposed by a player a while back (as part of a substantial and well-thought out block of suggestions) and quite a few people thought it would be a positive addition. You know, fun. And it fits with the lore of the class.

The mana cost may be a tad high - but you shouldn't spam it. It's to bewilder your enemy and make them try and move away, etc.

When using fauzbomb it appears in chat the exact same as plaguebomb... There have been several times where I've ran from a fauxbomb (lol). I love the beguiler class as it is the "troll" of all the classes! :)

First off, it may have changed since last time I took a look at it, but FauxBomb used to take 3% of your mana, which is obviously efficient.

Secondly, the purpose of FauxBomb is obviously to get your opponents to back away from the Sheep headed toward them. Beguilers have very few skills, and the way to play beguiler properly is to take advantage of every skill you have if its off cooldown. A beguiler can't simply piggify/plaguebomb/beguile and repeat, he needs a filler. That filler is faux bomb. It keeps your opponent guessing. It distances your opponent for just a bit, buying you time to get your piggify off cooldown... Because you know what happens when you get piggified, right? You get bursted with a plaguebomb, fireball, pulse combo. This trifecta is very hard to pull off unless your opponent is riding a pig.

I am going to have to disagree with you. When I played beguiler, I was a huge fan of the skill fauxbomb. I agree with what STDs said, about how you can use it to trick your enemies. The skill itself is a juke; maybe your enemy is about to die, and he pops an invuln to avoid it? What if you're fighting a paladin, and they attempt to shieldreflect your fauxbomb? While I agree the skill itself is very situational, it has its strengths and its weaknesses. The potential of the skill may not be incredibly high, but take advantage of the things it can do.

EDIT: Don't bash scan like that, that skill is amazing.
