Greetings Heroes!
On December 21th we will be introducing the next installment of Herocraft. Valorium: Survival RPG! We're bringing out "Back to the Basics" - which includes several mechanics returning to the old Herocraft methods to simplify gameplay, encourage more fluid activity and add enjoyment for everyone! There's a few key points to reflect upon, read them below.
New Map - Valorium:
This massive map will be introducing the unification of PVE and PVP to announce the release of Survival RPG. The north continent will be home to PVE players, the south will be home to PVP players. Contested regions will be around the middle and there will be a centralized marketplace accessible by either spawn. Later, there will be methods to openly flag yourself as PVP attackable even in PVP-OFF areas but that will be released in a future update.
Custom Map:
Hand crafted fully generated map, built by hand over 5 months time. You'll have tons of fun exploring every corner of this enchanted landscape!
Leveling Spread:
We've decided that we're shortening the gap between low level characters and high level characters. Level gain is now less than it was so the gap is shorter than before so combat will be more skill based and less grind/time based. Heroes may now select a specialization immediately upon entering the game.
Custom Items:
After much time and effort, we have finalized the custom items code to a usable point. We will be further tweaking it. Now Heroes will be able to gain attributes based on the items they are wearing or holding, instead of per-level allotments. These items will be obtainable either by slaying special minions and bosses, treasure hunting or crafting.
Attributes Changes:
When a hero levels up, they are no longer given allocation points to spend, instead they start with a static base of attribute points depending on the selected class. The hero can change these points by equipping custom items with the desired attribute point. In addition, endurance will no longer determine armor use, it will be based on class sets.
Contested Areas:
These areas, close to the center of the map, will fall in and out of war during the day. Four hours of peace and one hour of war. During war time, players may attack by other players and will be awarded currency when slaying others.
Mythic Mobs & Dungeons:
Hostile and aggressive mobs have appeared on Herocraft, these mobs will be much stronger than the normal enemies of Herocraft. They grant much higher reward in both experience and loot! Make sure to bring a friend, they will not be forgiving.
Townships & Residences:
Various changes in Townships 3.0 have been made and is continuously being optimized for a unified Herocraft. There is less restrictions on block used in buildings, there are less damage on turrets.
Residence is being removed for the protections found in Townships. Supporters will be granted close to or equal benefits as they are now. For further information visit http://hc.to/townships
Economy Changes:
A centralized marketplace will be added that will be connected to both spawns. The rent stalls will be much cheaper in the past to promote use and activity! The gold standard has been revived and you will be able to trade gold for souls at a low rate.
Adventure Map:
Valorium will be the base of operations for the Adventure Map --- it will be a cloned replica but instead will be Adventure-mode rather than Survival. You will get to experience the Adventure map and build on it before it is released as a read-only world with unique structures!

Everything is being wiped except supporter perks and things purchased on the store saved in permissions.
