  3. Previous Bans from other Servers (If Yes, explain where/when): Yes, received a temporary ban on rp.shatteredlands.net for joining a faction/town and blowing up a griefer's house. He had it coming.
  4. Referral(s): None
  5. How did you hear about Herocraft?: Google.
  6. Have you voted for Herocraft (No? Click here)?: Yes.
  7. Do you agree to the Herocraft EULA & ToS?: Yes.
  8. Reason you should be accepted: I'm generally a helpful person, even if I am a bit of a grouch most times. I'm not big on building giant structures, but I do like digging and mining. And farming. Don't ask me why, but sometimes I'll just watch wheat grow.
  9. Special key (DON'T LEAVE BLANK!): HCg14
  10. Additional Info: Currently stationed in Japan, active duty Air Force. As such, my schedule is sometimes erratic and I do spend long periods of time offline.

I gotta say, your ban concerns me. Someone decided to break the rules and you decided to get him back by breaking rules?

A little history on that...there weren't really server-wide rules that map. It was a temporary map, they were experimenting with the Factions mod. Each faction made their own rules, and they were enforced by the faction leaders. My faction had disbanded so I built out in a desert. This jerk, buckaroo, stole all my stuff and left signs taunting me. He also did that to a number of people. I hunted him down to his underground lair in his faction's territory, and joined them without reading their rules. The leader of that faction happened to be an admin. I wandered around their territory, scouted out buck's primitive cave, stole some TNT from his brilliantly labeled "Stolen Loot" chest, and blew everything up.

Was it right? No, and I fully understand that. I took my ban without complaint, and I still play on SL.net. I don't make it a habit of breaking rules and griefing griefers, but you wanted to know about any previous bans I've received.

It depends on the circumstances. If it's a situation that is trivial, and can be handled at my level, then I would probably try to take care of it at my level. For example, if there were a rule against typing in all caps in chat and someone was typing in all caps, I would probably tell them there was a rule against using capslock and ask them to stop. However, if it were something major or couldn't be handled at my level, like someone using cheats or hacks, then obviously I'd defer to a mod or admin since there's nothing I can do about it.

The griefer griefing attack on that temporary map was atypical of my usual behavior, and had it occurred in any other faction's territory I would not have been temp banned, but merely put on a KOS list. It just so happened that the guy's faction was run by an admin so they could ban; factions without mods or admins had no such support during that temp map, if I remember correctly. That whole era (SL.net's term for maps) was a bit crazy.

As long as you understand how a situation regarding rules should be handled, I am willing to give you a chance on the server.

Welcome to Herocraft

Since I currently don't and won't have any computer access for a couple of days, can someone whitelist this guy? Proctors
