I was in the Nether, trying to find shelter from a blaze that was shooting at me. I ran into a raised perimeter and saw some nether wart. Figured I'd take some for some potions, then continued on my way. The land wasn't claimed or anything, so I never figured it was someone's base.
Mod-on-duty and I had a bit of a spat, where I agreed to my mistake and offered to return the guys warts and then some, but the mod said they'd had enough with "faggot griefers" and decided to ban me.
