Don't compare bard to beguiler, they are nothing alike, you make melodic bindings sound better than it is, it's a slow not a root. Bard aoe's don't do nearly the amount of damage you were suggest, bard is a full on support class, beguiler isn't.

If bard is a full on support class and beguiler isn't and bard still does more damage then something is wrong here. Plus melodic bindings glitches you if you try to move so it basically is a stun.


But even so, its still no reason not to change piggify and nerf another part of beguiler if need be. Their is no reason to leave a skill broken. It is sad and shows that some people who are in charge just don't care about the server.
