I was told that that all crafters will be able to use the cauldrons instead of just the alchemist.
Cauldrons is the the only good thing about alchemists imo, I know that they're getting xmute wool but I still dont think it's worth being an alchemist because of that. (Red and yellow flowers aren't that rare anymore) I would suggest keeping the cauldrons to the alchemists so that they've got a reason for being alchemists.

Another thing that I've been thinking of is getting exp from using a cauldron. You could lower the exp from mining and add exp for using cauldrons which would encourage people even more to use cauldrons and sell items.

These are just suggestions that I think would fit the alchemists.

if alchemist keep being the only class using cauldron (i think it's a great idea, that would really make people want to be alchemist) they already will got a good skill only for that

and, for the xmute thing, like trizze said, muting wool color is pretty useless, like, fast smelting too, come on, it's not THAT hard to wait a little for smelting

but, the xmute thing that could be awesome: muting items to their ore version, using like:
one diamond and one smoothstone to make one diamond ore
4 redstone dust and one smoothstone to make one redstone ore
one gold ingot and one smooth...
one iron ingot and....
one lapis...
ect..

THAT would be an improvement that we can't do with regular minecraft, ok, it's useless except for decoration with ores, but i will choose alchemist if they had this skill ;)

I second Carm's suggestion.

As for the cauldrons, I think there's enough diversity in Crafter specs to make them Alchemist-only and still see use from the others, or at least Mason and Engineer.

I'm starting to think that every spec should have it's own rate of exp gain for different things. Too complicated for the present, maybe, but eventually I'd like to see something like that.
